I did the tour of the Levada do Caldeirão Verde on Wednesday and it has been an extraordinary experience. Dino is a very competent, professional and yet attentive guide to visitors' needs. Not only he is an excellent guide but he also held me back with news about the history and fauna and flora of the levada. Something that I will never forget. Thanks Dino.

The red coast running tour with our guide Dinarte Jesus was a great experience! I especially enjoyed the moon-like landscape and the stunning views. The guide took very nice pictures and video, as well as provided us with interesting facts about the nature and surroundings. We can highly recommend this experience to others:)

We were looking for a more challenging walk than offered by the other operators and this company provided this by allowing us to do the Red Coast run as a private walk. Dinarte was an excellent and enthusiastic guide - judging the pace that we wished to walk at accurately.
The walk was varied with spectacular views of both the north and south coasts. During the day he provided a lot of local and useful information.
When we next visit the island, we will definitely do more day trips with him - with the added bonus that his maximum group size is 6, considerably smaller than other tour operators.

Dino our guide for the sunrise guided walk to Pico do Arieiro was amazing! He was so knowledgeable, attentive and honestly just a lovely person. We were very lucky on our walk because the weather couldn't have been better in winter. Saw the sunrise above the clouds and not a single drop of rain that day. Would highly recommend booking with Dino and Madeira Trail Tours!

After eating and drinking too much of Madeira's fantastic food and wine, I decided I needed some exercise. Booking was easy and quick via email, available the very next day. Dino is very friendly and knowledgeable, having grown up in Madeira provided heaps of local knowledge and is obviously a very experienced trail runner. I was a bit apprehensive about the amount of ascent on even the easy run we did from Poiso, but Dino let me set the pace and we walked the particularly steep bits, stopping here and there to catch my breath and take in the stunning views. I was picked up at 9 and was back in the hotel by 12.30, spent about 2h15min running 14km and 500m ascent. Amazing experience all round and if you like running, a great way to see some of the more remote trails you wouldn't find without a local. Thanks for a great morning out!

I did three trails with Madeira Trail Tours. Everything was arranged well! Nice tracks, nice staff, good timing, etc. During these trails you see a lot of different vegetation types and regions of the island. There is time to enjoy and take a break (either to eat a berry, take a picture or just rest a bit). You determine the pace and you can choose between easy, medium and hard level. I would certainly (and hopefully once...;-)) do it again!

It was our first visit to Madeira. We wanted to do some walking but the January weather was changeable and we were nervous of joining a large tour group.
We saw Dino's advert for a local guide and took a chance. How lucky we were. Dino is brilliant.
He emailed us straight away to discuss our abilities and what sort of day we wanted.
Dino picked us up in his car and drove us to the walk. His driving is of a very high standard and he spent the whole trip pointing out highlights we were passing.
Both on the drive and on the walk, Dino demonstrated his great knowledge of Madeira's history, its geology and of its flora and fauna. As we were in a 121 situation, we could walk at the pace we wanted, pause to take photos or to discuss the sights whenever we wanted.
The day was so good, we instantly booked Dino to take us on another walk the next day. Again, we left the exact choice of walk to Dino, as he knew the local weather and could make sure that we did a walk that was appropriate for the weather forecast (cloud levels, etc).
Dino is fully qualified as a mountain guide and carries his own guide insurance.
We can't recommend him highly enough.
Especial thanks to Dino's father, who came with us in the car and drove the car from the place we started the walk to collect us from the place where the walk finished. Just part of the great service we received!

We took the the hike through the falls in maderia. It was my birthday hike and Dino made it extremely enjoyable experience. He is extremely patient and flexible with the hike/activity that you would want to do. Also make sure to stop by the cafe! Amazing views during the hike and the during the drive Dino will also give you a detailed history of the place. Definitely will come back to Maderia for this!

Tuesday Dinarte of Madeira Trail Tours took John for an onforgettable trailtour, Ribeira Frio 2.
Dinarte is a very good trailrunner and can tell you al lot about the island along the way.
It was a though trip but amazingly beautiful.
A must for every trailrunner and certainly worth repeating when we return to Madeira.

Great experience with Dino on the Larano coastal and forest trail. Possibly one of the harder routes offered (ascent & descent was steep and slippery) but well worth it.
