Good place for the children

We visited this place with our two young children (age 8 and 1,5). I read the reviews earlier on so the place did not surprise us. A bit shabby, a bit tatty but my children liked... read more

Went to Santana to see the little houses, we stopped of in the theme park first, wish we hadn't bothered. There was very little to do waste of €6. Perhapse because it was just coming into the busy season, there was hardly a sole about. Very disappointed

Me and my wife, aged 35, loved this place in Santana. Nice gardens, but specially the museum inside, telling the whole history of Madeira. Very interesting for people who enjoy nature, gardens and history, and its very cheap (only 6EUR). People either complain that is full of people or empty. Who cares? Not recommended if raining, there's a lot to... More

We visited this place with our two young children (age 8 and 1,5). I read the reviews earlier on so the place did not surprise us. A bit shabby, a bit tatty but my children liked to be able to play around freely. It was completely safe for them, with a big playground area of what we have not found... More

We arrived to Santana on Monday noon to visit this park. There was only handful of visitors and the whole park looked extremely dead. Although the staff was friendly and helpful, within an hour we were done with every attraction and decided not to wait yet another hour for the show in the last pavilion. Could be better on some... We have visited Madeira many times but this was our first visit to the 'theme park' We went with friends and children and had a very enjoyable few hours. To call it a 'theme park' is a little confusing, particularly for people who are used to visiting Theme Parks. I would say it is more like a living museum with... More

Difficult to describe what this place is trying to be. We were there the week of the flower festival and it was beautiful. Immaculate flower beds all around the park. We took our children age 3 and 5 and they loved it. The highlights for the children: train ride, trampoline, huge play park, boat lake, simulator ride, indoor boat voyage... More

After reading a variety of trip advisor reviews we were impressed enough to travel from the other side of the island with our large family to visit Santana and this theme park. When we arrived the car park and entrance was deserted and once inside we barely saw any visitors - maybe a handful. some attractions were closed ( in... More

We didn't find this place very exciting. It's pretty and well maintained, but in hindsight we should have spent the afternoon on a beautiful mountain or levada walk.

Have some nice attractions but could be improved. Could be more cultural and educational for adults and childrens. More information about the island would be appreciated.

Brilliant! Lovely, beautiful. I could have not chosen a better program for our stay. I wish our grand children could have been there with us. They would have enjoyed it so much.
