Simply stunning. Very few visitors compared to the other places, pleasant cafe. Also if you have mobility issues there is a little bus that you can get from the entrance down to the palace and back. I only found that out after staggering down lots...More

In stark and pleasant contrast with Quinta da Regaleira and the Pena palace, there were very few visitors there, even though it was a Monday. It is a bit of a journey from the other main palaces and a time-consuming detour (ca. 1,5 extra hours...More

We arrived fairly early in the morning. From the moment we walked into this magical place we felt transported not only to a different age, but to a place where nature has been turned into poetry. The plant life is staggering in its diversity and...More

This palace was incredible, not so much for the building, but the grounds. The gardens are incredible. They take you around the globe, through the rainbow and really inspire you. Definitely spend some time here!

Believed to be the home of the rich alchemist who built himself a city.... Well if you aren't yet rushing there then don't blame me. Lovely quaint place and my favourite was the initiation well and the gardens. Ofcourse the palace is as attractive

I wish I could live here. If you plan going to only one palace in Sintra (why?!) you MUST go here. It's sooo quiet.

You have to go there bus 435 which goes to every 20 min. Romatic palace with big garden. Outside in nice looking but inside is nothing to see. Waste of time and money like whole Sintra!

So the ride to get here is through a tight little road, but once you’re here, it’s a magical hidden gem. The scenery is breathtaking with wide space of green perfect for picnics and quiet time. The palace itself is embellished in rich design, quite...More

For 8 Euros, you get to see spectacular gardens that won't disappoint. Afterwards you will be treated to a recently renovated palace that is just spectacular. The ceramic work is not to be believed.

Its quite a distance to the house down a steep valley through stunning gardens, however there is a hop on hop off buggy thing that takes you if you don’t want to walk . The house itself isn’t that big you could probably go... More

At the palace you can park the stroller under the stairs on the first floor, and then use the stairs to get to the second floor and the basement. It is challenging as you walk uphill as it is steep, but overall I would... More

We walked from the Monserrate Palace to the centre of Sintra in about 40 minutes, from whence there are regular buses to Cabo de Roca. Alternatively there's a circular route bus that drops off and picks up from Monserrate... More
