More
The Moorish Castle is a military fortification that bears witness to the Islamic presence in the region, and was probably constructed between the eighth and ninth centuries and later expanded after the Reconquista. Overlooking the town of Sintra, it served as a watchtower, guaranteeing the protection of Lisbon and its surroundings.

Unbelievably unique and worth seeing. You're imagination will go in to overdrive. Be prepared for some serious stairs, but I promise you they're worth it!

The castle of the moors is a very well preserved castle next to Pena park. The view from the highest tower is absolutely fantastic. Be careful with the climb if you go by the wall. I wouldn't recommend it if you are afraid of heights....More

We spent several hours walking in the fog and cold, taking pictures and enjoying the views when the fog cleared. Sintra is a wonderful city to visit.
