Very nice view. The biggest point here is that this is the Western point of continental Europe.
You can't stay for a long time here. It's very windy and after some time it will get to your nerves. Besides pictures there is really not much to do. I would categorized this place as must-see place, but with just couple of minutes stay. Loose your hair and get some cool pictures in the wind!

We loved the view of the lighthouse and the stunning coastline. The day we visited it was sunny and calm and not windy at all. We started our hike there and enjoyed being able to look back at the lighthouse and the rock outcroppings.

This colorful light house sits atop this beautiful hillside in far western Europe. The combination of red and white colors stand out no matter if it is dreary or sunny. The cliffside here is also stunning with quite the vertical drop to the Atlantic Ocean.

Go and enjoy the view of the ocean. Feel the vibes and smell the sea. It is breathtaking! One of the best things I have seen in Lisbon!

Many shores with cliffs are pretty and Cabo da Roca is no different. It is a serene place, with a never-ending horizon, prompting you into reflection. Wander around, take your time, breathe... Despite its prominence, it doesn't ever seem to be too busy. Parking is ample and the ride from Lisbon pleasant. It pleases young and old, couples and families. Plus, you cannot get any further West on the continental Europe! Just go. Just go...

Above the cliffs of the most western tip of Europe, the Light Tower stands guard, on the highest point. It was not open for visitation when we were there, however, it adds a nice spot of color to the area.

This was a relatively quick stop on a day tour that we took. It was very very busy here! Some tourists were not very respectful of others, by taking so much time taking pictures of their group, and one by one, different poses etc. at the monument.

Having said that, the vistas were spectacular. There were also many different trails to hike if you had the time. If I were to go back, I would definitely include time to go hiking, and see the area, away from the crowds. I am sure the views would be amazing from atop the cliffs, along the trails.

It was well worth the spot, and neat to be at the most westerly point of the European Continent.

If in the area, you should stop in.

This place is amazing. The views are breathtaking and you can actually walk around (carefully) and get closes to some of the cliffs.

We only had a fleeting glimpse as on the coastal bus from Cascais to Sintra. The most westerly point of Europe. The views on the bus and the sheer drops at the side of the road are spectacular.
