This is one of my favourite places in the world. I love to see the mountain and the sea so close. The sea has a beautiful bright blue color and you can be on the beach with all that green near you. It feels so cozy to me. There are restaurants with fresh fish to eat, places to do a... More

We walked for about 750 kms in the Arrabida National Park with an organisation that is Portuguese and does all sorts of walks, hikes in the Himalayas as well as Bike Rides in and around Lisbon. Filipe Palma runs Lisbon Bike Tours and does wonderful walks in the Arrabida. The types of trees are explained, as are various shrubs and... More

The coastline is incredible. In Setubal you have a family of Dolphins who live there due to the sheltered bay. Drive out from Setubal along the coast and visit Portinho da Arrabida, Portinho da Arrabida 2925-378, Portugal for a delicious lunch on the coast. Take a walk, go dolphin watching or visit the convent nearby.

Great walking environment, lots of ups & downs, but the views are absolutely amazing, and worth it. If in the area must not miss.

Great views and beautiful bays. The road is fine. It can get a bit crowded on sunny days. I would recommend it.

What ever you prefer the mountains or the beach, there's all in just one place, water a bit cold by Portinho due to the Atlantic. Nice spot's for Rock climbing (you need help to find as they aren't visible, nice trekking route for all level. To go for less then a week you will find it too short.

Arrabida Natural Park is a short 20 to 30-minute drive from Lisbon, and a wonderful day-trip alternative for nature lovers. There are numerous photo opportunities along the road, and good seafood restaurant choices. If you have a car, I highly recommend it!

The green hillside collides with the deep blue ocean. So beautiful. My only disappointment is how could the government allow a cement factory to be in right in this gem of nature??? Very upsetting to allow them to rip up sections of the hills for this industry. This needs to change!
