We had a great time watching dolphins. The crew was so friendly, funny and welcoming. The boat wasn’t too big or too full (it fit around 20 people) and had seats in the sun as well as in the shade. We got to see 2 groups of dolphins, they were very curious and came close to the boat. It was amazing!
After we extensively watched the dolphins the captains showed us around the bay and pointed out all the beautiful sights (beaches, castles, sanatorium etc.)
Everybody had a great time. Thank you so much!

Took the Arrábida Park tour and winery tour. Wonderful drive through the mountains with beautiful views of the beaches, ending with a winery visit and tasting. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the area. We stopped a few times to take in the views of the gorgeous beaches. Since it was only my husband and me on the tour that day, we were able to choose the winery we wished to visit. If you are in Setubal or even Lisbon, this is an area you must visit. On a side note, the location at the Mercado does wine tasting and also sells regional products at good prices. They were also super helpful with a couple of non-tour related queries. Highly recommend this company.

We just finished the dolphins tour and it was super nice.
The small boat was comfortable and the staff nice: the girl knew many things, not only about the dolphins, but also about the coast and the area. She spoke both portuguese and English. The tour started about 5 mnts late and took 2 hrs as promised. We saw many dolphins, but of course this is about good luck, but being resident dolphins, the possibility to see them is quite high. The tour costs 35 euros per person: in my opinion is a bit high considered that there is no stop or bath or other things, but I am giving 5 stars anyway because probably is a normal price in the area.

Nuno and the team at Rotas do Sal arranged several days of custom touring for us last winter in March and April. It was fantastic! Sometimes it was just the two of us, othertimes, family and friends to as large as seven people including kids. We hiked, boated, toured historic sites, saw wildlife, ate great food and wine and met so many wonderful people throughout Portugal. Nuno helped us to look at different towns and communities to potentially reside, on a real estate “look-see”. We treasured the time with Nuno and count him as a friend. Our best wishes to all who work with the team at Rotas do Sal.

We rang in the morning to book on the 14:30 dolphin watching trip. We drove down from Lisbon, being excited for the highlight of our holiday on our last day. We arrived 30 mins early to find no reservation. No matter, they had spaces. They reconfirmed it was a 2 hr trip, as we had a disabled lady with a stick who wouldn’t be able to do much more than 2 hrs. At 14:30 they told us the boat was 5 mins late. At 14:45 they told us the boat was 5 minutes late. At 15:00 they told us the boat was 5 mins late. I asked them to stop lying and just tell the truth. They didn’t know where the boat was. I asked for my money back. They then saw the boat 10 mins out to sea. I asked if that was the 10:30 trip returning. They said yes. The morning 2 hr trip had taken 4hrs 45 mins. I asked how long our trip would take. 2 hrs was the reply. I suggested she was lying and she agreed she was. They had no idea how long it would take. I took my money and left. Thanks for ruining the entirety of my last days holiday!! 2 hrs driving and 2 hrs waiting. I would certainly suggest you use another operator, perhaps one that doesn’t lie through their teeth.

Yes we know that there's a risk that you do not see dolphins. But if you know before the boat is leaving that the chance of spotting dolphins is almost zero you should inform your customers about this so they have the chance to join or not. The boat before us came back 40 minutes late as the dolphin was very far away.
But hey, €35 is easy money as tourists move on.

Tours by this company were exceptional. Nuno gave us his undivided attention in the parks, harbour & beaches, the historic buildings, past and contemporary history and lots of his topographic knowledge. I ended up doing three different tours, the dolphin watching, the Arrábida National park and Palmela Castle, with a wine tasting in a family winery. Each of the tours was fantastic and I absolutely recommend this company. The local tourist office initially recommended them, after my first experience I returned for another tour, and then returned again for the third. Each was thoroughly rewarding.

If you want to get close to the dolphins, this is the way to go. Friendly and knowledge staff, comfortable boat. We even got to go for a swim outside secluded beach and enjoyed a glas of port. How much better can it get? Highly recommended!

Successful trip into the Sado estuary to see bottlenose dolphins. The crew were great, the boat had plenty of room and best of all we saw dolphins close alongside us. Thank you
