The return trip to the airport was not good. Whlst we were collected on schedule, that did not give us the two hours arrival before departure that is required - they should have picked us up sooner. The car stank of strawberry vape, btw I'm not anti smoking, I smoke cigarettes myself. The car was too hot. The driver was listening to a live football match on the radio, the commentary got very high pitched & excited which only added to the stress of a retired couple wortied about missing their flight. The clock on the dash was an hour slow. The (young'ish) driver drove too fast & at one point did a scary overtake. Ah just bad unprofessional service. - David M28 contributionsTerminal experience like kettleTerminal 2 is very bad. Sanitair before checkin is outside in an external temporary mobile toilet home next to the garbage bins. After getting through safety a way to small waiting area. But wait for the end, after the gate-number is known get in a line to enter the kettle area. Before entering the plane you have to get into glass separated lines like kettle to wait for the walk to the plane. Really long wait before entering the plane. Their reply was somewhat confusing as they said that they could not accommodate non foldable mobility scooters or wheelchairs. My request clearly stated FOLDING. When we came back the staff were shouty, throwing belongings around. This is truly a backwater staffed by people without social skills. The cafes are staffed by miserable unfriendly servers. It had been an early flight and we were both very tired. A guy approached us and asked if we needed a taxi. We said yes. He took us to a car waiting with a driver. We didn’t even have time to ask how much before he was driving off. It was a 20 minute journey and he charged us 150 euros. Yes I know we should have refused to pay but 2 women in a foreign country they saw us coming!!! I’m posting this as I don’t want anyone else to be scammed by these people. Despite the fact that there were a great number of people in the airport, everything shuts down at 11pm!! Lounges close, elevators are turned off, escalators are turned off, cafes close, and although check in starts at 3am, it is not possible to go through security until after 3,30am. I have travelled a lot, but this was one of my worst experiences ever!! Avoid it if you canI thought this was a temporary brunch of the Lisbon airport as it looks like more a camping site that an airport. How this is even allowed? I visited Lisbon many times and thankfully I’ve never experienced terminal 2 before even traveling with Ryanair. What is going on here?? There are very very few facilities, the food is terrible , there aren’t seats for the people even if there is clearly the space! And can you charge 9 euro for a baguette with fake mozzarella and tomato also cold??? - Karen W1 contributionDangerousI have never experienced such a dreadful airport ,Terminal 2 is like walking into a detention centre or a prison. I do worry that some serious accidents are going to take place in departures. Not enough seating available, not enough food centres ,no enough toilet facilities. The entire place is dirty. Tired people sitting on the ground,on the stairs ,everywhere. This is meant to be an EU member .I will NOT be returning to Lisbon and I really could not advise anyone to visit ,as terminal 2 is dangerous.Visited June 2024Traveled with familyWritten June 20, 2024

Paid for a transfer in advance via Booking.com. Very long queues at airport. Driver left. He ignored our calls and text messages so we wasted a lot of time looking for him. We also lost our money. Booking.com make it difficult to complain, use no reply email addresses and do not help. Very stressful start to holiday.

We were a group of 5 adults and we found the most optimum way to get to our rented apartment in Alcantara from the airport online through Hoppa. Oujr ride was already waiting for us, all we had to do was to go to the meeting point in the arrival hall and picked up our reservation name. The rate was good and we had a large SUV. I would recommend this method if you have a group of 5 to 6 adults traveling together.

The taxis will scam you. This is so far the bet way to ruin a nice experience in lisbonne. Trying to get out of a officla taxis driver who prefer to go rogue and agressive and asked triple the price we should have paid.
I don't see how this is a way to promote lisbonne and portugal worldwide. We disembarked by force from the taxi. Took a uber that came in less than 10 sec, was polite. And the price was 7 euros instead of "40".
This should be evealy regulated by the portugal. We are in europe, portugal was, and is still an imortant cultural heritage of the world. If you can't even fix this, don't think about fixing others things.

Rude staff and aggressive. 2 Individuals clearly waiting in area and they refused entry to the rest of the passengers. when asked I was given a rude look and no answer and is extremely frustrating. Was difficult and had to wait through multiple long queues with only two people working the passport check with the machine malfunctioning for everyone. Absolutely ridiculous I am not allowed to sit next to my departure gate 20 minutes prior to boarding.

Booked a transfer from Lisbon airport with Talixo for which I waited an hour on and it did not show up. They sent an email to apply for a refund which does not acknowledge my request.
Got a taxi outside cheaper and with in 10 minutes.

Hello, I am . I was traveling via Portuguese Airlines on February 9, 2023 at 4.40 pm, and I had to change planes at Lisbon International Airport. There, I was subjected to racism by the men and women of the security there, as we were waiting to enter the plane at Terminal 1, and I was subjected to an additional and exaggerated search and drug testing in clothes and hands without any reason. When I finished the search, I was late in collecting my bag, so a policewoman threw it in a humiliating way only because of my skin, and this was the first The last time I go to this airport now, this hurt me so much that I almost cried because of the insult. I hope to improve the security services at the airport without insulting the passengers. Thank you.

Absolute disgrace. Hundreds of people crammed into a metal shed with very few seats and even fewer facilities. No organisation to any queues, only seemed to be one person slowly checking passports, other passengers getting agitated, frustrated and pushing through. Deeply unpleasant place and potentially dangerous.

Not a very comfortable place, even though it's very busy as tourists travel all the time.
My flight was 1 hour delayed due to foggy weather- as i found out from the hostess because the airport didn't bother to inform us at all. There was no announsement and most important wa the fact that there were NOT enought seats at the gate so many of us had to sit on the floor or the stairs ! The flight was full of passengers and children included! The smoking area was terrible and dirty. there was no airport staff around for any kind of help or info.

The airport staff harassed and insulted me for an hour. They didn't want to put me on the flight, saying that there were no seats on the plane, although the ticket was fully paid in advance and I checked in on time. I was going to the funeral of a loved one and I told one of the employees that had to get on this flight. In response, she said: "I don't care." In addition, they were rude, threatened me and touched me and my
belongings with their hands. Everything they did was against the law.
As a result, my heart started to hurt.
Lisbon Airport responded to my complaint they refused to investigate this case because "this is not a relationship to which the airport is totally related." I have some bad news for you: this is a relationship to which the airport is totally related, because these women are employees of Lisbon Airport, this was written on their badges, and unacceptable behavior, insults and violations of the law occurred on the territory of Lisbon Airport, not on board the aircraft, and therefore the territorial jurisdiction for these violations is the city of Lisbon, Lisbon District, Portugal.
My lawyer has already filed a complaint with all relevant agencies.
Other users of this airport should know that they can be treated the same way as me and if possible choose other airports. And the airport management should pay attention to what its employees are doing and reread the laws and international transportation regulations.

Terminal 2 is fine if you are a goat or cow waiting in line for the slaughter house. There is nothing but queues before going to the gates and once a the gates everyone with their cabin luggage must go throught one of the few shops in the terminal. There are maybe 4 shops, nothing of interest and 3 dining options. No lounges. Every single seat is packed, families are spending hours sitting on the flour. When standing in line for boarding, the line is bend through other gates lines because of limited space in the terminal and al gates are right next to each other.
It's a third-world country terminal, no more or less.

Can anyone give me an uber rate from Lisbon airport to city centre for 4 adults with luggage please?

We got the airport taxi as I thought it was a fixed rate as there were 5 of us in total with 5 cabin bags the actual price quoted was I think €35 . However on arrival the taxis wanted €45. I spoke to the hotel who then informed me that for people carriers or min vans plus they charged extra for the pieces of luggage plus it was slightly more as we were in a people carrier as opposed to a normal Uber. When I queried the fair with the hotel I was told that mine was a pretty decent charge and not inflated as I first thought.

In my visit last month I tried both the metro and Uber from and to the airport. Metro ticket is 1.50 euros and it was fine when I had no luggage. Then I used Uber another time with luggage and it was convenient, easy to use, cheaper than taxi and you know the cost in advance. Uber airport pick up is at the arrival section exit in the upper floor at 'kiss & fly' parking lot.

Hello everyone. My husband and I are flying from Madeira to Lisbon on EasyJet, and then from Lisbon to Toronto. We land in Terminal 2 at 11:15 pm, and our next flight out of Terminal 1 is at 12:25 pm. Is this too tight? Will we need to go through security again?

I am to travel to Lisbon airport next week arriving at lunchtime. I have just read many of the horror stories on this site with regard to overcharging, no-show for the return trip to airport etc. Any suggestions that would help me in taking a taxi(I have already considered metro etc) from the airport please...and do they charge per person or per trip(there are 3 of us, all adults)? Hello. I'm flying to Lisbon (LIS) on a Sunday, will be landing at 9am. I need to get to Orient Station to catch my train to Tunes. Can I get from the airport to Oriente Station via the subway/metro? Also do I need to buy my ticket before (I live in Canada). I'm reluctant to do to buy ahead in case my flight is delayed. Would rather buy the ticket when I arrive at Orente. Thank you.

I am not sure about Subway/metro options at Lisbon, but I would not prepay a taxi pickup with rideway as they will not wait if you are delayed. Just find the best way when you arrive and pay then. The taxi we ended up with was great and we ended up booking him for a whole day touring the area for only $100 euros.

Be aware , due to Strike of Portuguese Immigration and Borders Service (SEF), between 24 and 25 August all Passengers scheduled to travel on August 24 and 25 have to arrive at Portuguese airports at least 4 hours prior to departure time.Also passengers who arrive in Portugal on these dates can face abnormal waiting times ! So , what this means ?
