We were walking along the riverside towards Belem Tower and spotted a motorised tricycle van selling wines and other drinks by the glass, with the name Wine with a view.
What a great idea, and the wines and drinks were very reasonably priced and good! They even supplied canvas folding chairs to sit and enjoy the wine and the wonderful views, and the staff were so friendly as well.
So glad we spotted Wine with a View.

Stumbled upon this wine cart next to the tower of Belem just before sunset. Buy the first glass of wine and keep the glass. Refils are cheaper. They supply chairs to sit at the edge of the seawall and enjoy your wine. Our hotel was nearby so went there for a pre dinner glass of wine or 2 before dinner every night. Fantastic.

Lady was incredibly rude to us when we asked to sit down in the empty chairs and order. She rolled her eyes as soon as she saw we were English. Don’t run a tourist attraction if you’re not welcoming and horrid personality. We went to the bar up the road instead

What a wonderful experience to have stumbled upon! The cart is along the river near the Belem Tower. The proprietor was super friendly and fun. We received a glass of wine (we got to keep the glass) and sat in chairs along the river with a beautiful view. It was a perfect stop during our busy tourist day. We only stayed for one glass, but you could easily spend longer there and try more options. My only regret is that we did not have time during our stay to go back and do it again.

We visited this lovely stand after touring in torre de Belem. The wine and sangria was great, and the staff member, Filipa, served us and offered great tips for the rest of the visit. An absolute treasure!

As I was walking around the edge of the castle grounds, admiring the view, I thought to myself, "the only thing that would improve this experience would be to be able to enjoy a glass of wine". Two seconds later I saw the cart of Wine With a View, so it was obviously meant to be.
The staff were very knowledgeable about their wines and recommended one based on my general preferences. It was delicious! It was really nice to be able to both sit and enjoy the drink while looking at the view and to wander the castle grounds with it.

We had a glass of lovely Portuguese red wine (and you can keep the "unbreakable" glass as a souvenir) on the grounds of the Castelo de São Jorge. Sitting on the wall with a beautiful view of the city (t's a little cart, you take your wine and then sit where ever you want to sit). Very friendly and knowledgable staff. Made the time at the castle so much better.

We visited Lisbon from England at end of January for husbands birthday. We normally visit Porto but came to Lisbon with two friends , we visited the castle our friends were getting a bit down as the rain was there so stumbling over the wine cart at top of the castle was a lovely surprise. The lady at the cart spoke fantastic English, she had so much time for our friends asking hundreds of questions, we settled for a bottle of red from the Douro which loving Porto was exciting. This made the experience so much nicer looking at the amazing view with a bottle of red and we got to keep our glasses also which was a nice little memory 💕
Once we can travel again I can’t wait to see these guys again hopefully very soon 💕💕

There are some updates to our location, currently we only have one permanently location, next to Belem Tower, just by the river! We are sorry to say that we are no longer at Castelo São Jorge.

This was a very pleasant discovery. Very nice Portugese wine, to be enjoyed with fantastic views over the city, and chairs if you need to sit down having clambered up an down the battlements of the castle. Well worth a visit.

I am reviewing my experience very late but that was must to share. Your water front and castle visit is not complete without it. I don't remember the name of her but she was very friendly, knowledgeable and courteous. Lucky having the full clear sunny day which makes the experience even better enjoying relaxing watching over water.

Dear Moirg!
You can just turn up, at the Castelo de São Jorge (12h to 21h) or Belem Tower (10.30h to 19h) but you can also book a commented wine tasting or a picnic with a view!
