This bookstore is just impressive with its big shelves going almost as high as the ceiling. There is also a little cafe in the bookstore's upper level beside an old printing machine.
The place is not only cool to look at but also good place to buy books. Go around to enjoy the place and check out the books they offer. Probably you can find one to read or as a gift or as a souvenir.

I love bookstores and this is no exception. Really great atmosphere, the entire LX Factory is a shopping and restaurant area in an old abandoned factory and Ler Devagar occupies the space of a former printing press. They kept the press as you can see in the photos and around it they have bookshelves and artwork, below and adjacent to it a cafe.
A must see if you love books and are in the area.

Absolutely loved exploring this bookstore. Located within the LX Factory, it has a great book selection, a wine bar and an incredibly unique atmosphere. An easy place to spend a few hours and it's in an area with plenty of trendy artisan shops to explore.

You can see why this is often voted one of the most beautiful bookstores in the World. This space used to be a print works and some old printing machines still remain. We stopped for beer, chatted, read, people watched and took lots of photos. Used for lots of other events too.

After, reading everywhere about that place, I went there but I didn't like it. It was dirty and crowded . Otherwise, it's really beautifull and you should give it a try, just to see it :)

Hard to summarize this enormous space which has a bookshop, cafe and exhibitions.
Thought the scale of the building was amazing. Found some of the layout a little confusing (for example we were walking around an area where the inventor/owner was giving a tour and suddenly we were part of the queue to pay him for the tour because we couldn't get past easily!).
Really liked the lemonade in the cafe- homemade, a really generous amount and made such a difference to us on a baking hot day.

This bookstore is like a magical place. Im not books fan but the place itself is nice, very creative, fun, full of weird funny things including the old man with the crazy tales on the second floor. Its like an old press factory or something like that, walls all filled with books and nice rare things

Lovely bookshop to visit if you are at LX Factory. Loads of interesting books mainly in Portuguese but some books in other languages and some small Lisbon related gifts as well. Quite busy.

The most interesting part of LX factory is this fun book shop. Worth the trip for this alone. They have a nice area to have a drink too! Great selection of Portuguese and international writers.

I'm looking for "The Tale of the Unknown Island" (English) by Jose Saramago. Anyone seen it here?
