In April 2016, I took my parents to Portugal for a vacation. It was my parents’ first visit to Portugal (my second visit there). As my mother needs assistance to travel around and I wanted their first visit to be enjoyable, thus I decided to contact an adapted tour in Lisbon. We were very much enjoyed our day tour with Sergio to Lisbon and to Sintra-Cascais the following day. Sergio is very knowledgable, informative, caring and thoughtful, and as many people said, Sergio loves his country very much! He suggested many places to visit such as Pastéis de Belém, Mercado da Ribeira, some viewpoints with very beautiful scene of the city etc, which all very recommended and very convenient for my mother to visit with wheelchair. As I am interested more in digging the Portuguese culture (the language, traditional cuisine, tradition, history, etc), I really enjoyed my conversation with Sergio around these topics. He’s a warm and friendly person thus made my parents could really enjoy their time in Lisbon, and felt secure whenever we were traveling with him. For my parents, their first trip to Portugal was very memorable and they are very looking forward for another visit to Portugal soon with Adapted & Senior Tours.

We did with Sergio and his very comfortable van 2 tours: Lisbon (8 hours) and Sintra-Cascais-Estoril/ (4 hours) We were 8 people (1 in a wheelchair and 1 using a basket cane) which is not always easy to handle but Sergio did it so well that we decided to write this recommendation. He has great knowledge about his country and its history, and he tells it with great passion. His English and Spanish is very well and it was easy to communicate. He was punctual, reliable and always eager to help us. He even brought us a second wheelchair so that the man using the basket cane would have it easier while walking through the very difficult Lisbon streets. We recommend this tour to everybody: also for everybody who doesn´t need special care. Sergio, thank you so much for everything!

My wife and I booked an all-day tour of Lisbon with Sergio and also an all-day tour of Sintra-Cascais-Estoril. Very good tours and Sergio was an excellent guide who made sure we were satisfied every step of the way!

After reading the reviews on TripAdvisor re Adapted & Senior Tours Portugal I made a half day booking to visit Sintra, Cascais & Estoril. If you can do the full day it would be so much better. I wasn't sure if my husband would cope - I was wrong. Sérgio emailed me the day before to confirm pickup etc. He met us promptly at the cruise terminal, sign in hand, and so our adventure began. The vehicle, which has several seats and a large ramp, was more than capable of taking my husband's large powerchair, and Sérgio quickly secured the safety attachments. Not only is Sérgio knowledgeable, he was kind enough to have water on board, bought us some local pastries and the most gorgeous Ginja, all of which we enjoyed. He advised on areas that would be suitable for my husband, the areas to avoid and also knew where the disabled toilets were. We got a bit carried away during our free time in Sintra as it was such a special place - sorry Sérgio - therefore Cascais was cut a bit short. To Sérgio's credit he made sure that we saw the highlights of everywhere including Lisbon on the way back to the ship sharing his knowledge and inspiring us to love the place where he lives. So happy that we chose to book with Sérgio that I passed the contact info to Michele Monro who was on our ship and is currently writing a travel guide for diabled people. Can't wait to return and explore again.

Our family whose ages ranged from six to sixty-five had a delightful educational two days. The expertise of this company allowed ALL of us - two with mobility challenges - to experience Lisbon and the surrounding area. Sergio whose passion for his beloved Portugal adjusted the tour as he got to know us and was flexible at a moment’s notice. Truly we give this company our highest recommendation. Thank you for making this possible. There is no way we could had an authentic view of the area without this assistance. Ann G and family
