It is difficult to articulate what an amazing time we had with Pedro. Not only was he knowledgeable about the areas, and able to answer all the questions we had, he was friendly, patient and a joy to have as a guide. We loved each place equally, but Pedro was able to tailor the tour for my daughter and I. We had booked Pedro for the half day in Sintra, but we were so impressed that we asked him to take us to Cascais later that week. His van was clean and comfortable. We loved the restaurant that he suggested near Cascais, and we couldn't have asked for a better day. I highly recommend any of these tours as you will not be disappointed.

We left Lisbon, heading to Porto, where we spent one night, and the next day we went to Fátima.
We were delighted with everything and having Pedro as our driver and guide was essential for us to enjoy the moment. Estrela d'Alva Tours Portugal was outstanding!!! I highly recommend

We did not have Pedro as our driver/guide as supposedly his van broke down and he merged us with another group. We got a E90 refund. We thank the driver for getting us to Fatima and back safely, but a tour guide he was not. He pointed us to the general direction and what to expect and told us the time we need to be back. We were so envious of another group who had a No Map Tours guide explaining the significance of what was in front of us. I eaves dropped for a moment, got the company's name to tell who ever reads to consider No Maps Tours. Next time.

We received your review which deserved our best attention.
We must say that we are surprised by the rating you gave to our company Estrela D’Alva Tours.
David is considered by all our customers to be a professional and knowledgeable driver/guide. We think you must have had the same opinion because when the tour ended you gratified David.
Mr. Cirilo we had indeed a last minute problem with one of our vehicles. We called you the day before the tour to report you this situation and to ask you if you would accept to join another small group with a different driver/guide. We also informed you we would refund you 90$ since the tour would not be a private tour anymore. You agreed to do the tour with these changes.
It is very difficult to accept your review under these circumstances.
We think that maybe the true reason for your rating is related with a special request that you made 1 hour before being picked up at your Hotel. You called us on the phone because your wife had the wish to visit another city during this full day tour to Fatima. This was not denied to you under the condition that the other group and the driver would agree.
We deplore the way you used your review by referring another touring company. Rest assure that No Map Tours don't need your opinion about their service to illustrate a less positive review on Estrela D'Alva Tours rating pole. We are sure they are an excellent touring company. Like many other touring companies in Portugal. But we are also certain that our touring company, Estrela D'Alva Tours, delivers one of the best touring services in Lisbon which is proven by all the excellent reviews we received on TripAdvisor and the recommendations given by our customers to their friends and families.
It is the opinion of the Estrela D’Alva Tours Team that the review system provided by TripAdvisor should not be used as a way to achieve personal justice.

Great tour for street art lovers! Our guide Pedro was very knowledgeable of the pieces he was showing us, but most importantly Pedro was super attentive to our needs and interests and adapted the tour accordingly.
We were so tired at the end and the weather was cold so Pedro offered to drop us at our hotel in his car which was such a lovely gesture that made us leave the tour with a big smile in addition to plenty of amazing photos!

Our tour guide was Pedro Farinha he was not only knowledgeable but made you feel like you were family he was showing around. In all the years we have been traveling he was the best. If you are in Lisbon and looking for this tour, I would highly recommend him. could go on but simply put outstanding.

I had a stopover tour of Sintra and Cascais. We were two people and we had a brilliant tour guide - tour manager Pedro Farinha! Gosh! He was as professional as a four star general! I am 68 years old and I used to be a tour guide in a different country myself and I've never had such an enjoyable tour!Mr Farinha was knowledgable, witty, eager, super polite. He has pleasant manner, clear voice and professional appearance. He was never in a hurry, always provided extensive explanations to our questions. Simply the best!

Where to start?! First, I’ll say all communications with the company were answered right away. I hate when companies don’t respond. Next, they were on time for everything - another plus! Then our guide — Pedro. What a great guy, knowledgeable, friendly, happy to please and make any adjustments to your private tour that you want. Nice, clean and spacious Mercedes van.
Our group of 8 booked Pedro to meet us at the cruise port at the end of our cruise and take us to Sintra and surrounding towns. We spent the whole day with him and saw SO MUCH that we would never have on our own or by train. We enjoyed this day with Pedro so much that we booked him again 2 days later to do a private tour to Evora, vineyards and surrounding towns. That was really my favorite day!
I highly recommend you use this company for all your needs in Lisbon, it was truly a joy!

This is a slightly different review since I unfortunately had to cancel my tour with Estrela d'Alva Tours at the very last minute due to a double booking mistake that I made. The cancellation was after the refund deadline but when I contacted Estrela d'Alva Tours and explained the mistake they were very understanding and accommodating. They did not have to issue a refund because it was my mistake but all the same they were extremely honorable and gracious. I was very happy and grateful for their actions and response and I can completely recommend this company as being one that is full of integrity and is customer service oriented. Any future tour I do in Portugal will be with this company as they are one you can completely trust.
