I have been working in Lisbon for several months, and have experimented with all the different ways of getting from the city to Lisbon's Gay Beach (i.e. Beach 19). If you have a car with GPS navigation software and want to drive around, use it. But if you don't, use Rui's service (unless you a very strict penny-pincher with extremely small budget). It is the most convenient, cost-effective and time-saving way. Taxis are much more expensive, and public transportation connections are terribly slow and difficult: it can take you 1,5-2 hours with two transfers, and you can easily get lost or miss connections. Furthermore, Rui can provide you with a towel, drinks and umbrella, he will give you practical advice and he is a nice guy overall. Highly recommended.

A friend booked the night tour at 10 pm. Rui was on time and we started the tour by visiting bars and clubs around Bairro Alto.
We went to a few places and had drinks, because it was a Wednesday night, it's quiet (and too early).
We sat down with Rui and spent some time understand gay culture in Lisbon, legal issues, gay scene and overall Lisbon as a tourist destination.
Rui is very clued-in and connected with the scene and the community. In fact, along the way, we had people saying 'hi' to him and exchange kisses.
Rui also walked me to the nearest cafe so I can walk back to my accomodation.
I will be back and I know who to call next time. Mr. Rui!

The whole weekend was action packed.....Thanks to Rui & Bruno. Always attentive, approachable, informative and relaxed. From boat trips, tours, nights on the town and clubbing. Thank you guys for the best weekend break, with great mates.

We took two tours with LisbonBeach, both outstanding. First, we did the Fado Night Tour with Carlos. It was a wonderful experience. Carlos is extremely knowledgable about Fado -- he loves it. That shows in his tour. We had knocked around in the Alfama the night before the tour and found some Fado locales, but they were somewhat touristy, rather expensive, and we had no idea what we were hearing really. On the tour, Carlos took us to three really out-of-the-way, LOCAL spots to experience the genuine stuff. They weren't even marked with signs, and we could have never found them on our own. He gave us very thorough and interesting explanations of Fado and its history. The tour made the Fado and Lisbon experience MUCH more meaningful than it otherwise would have been. Carlos gave us much, much more than our money's worth --- in both time and info. Oh, and Carlos is also quite charming -- we easily developed a very nice friendship! Thank you Carlos!
Our second tour was with Joel to Sintra. Again, Joel was warm and friendly, and gave a great tour. His explanations of the palaces was just what we needed -- all the standard information, but also interesting tidbits we certainly would not have gotten from a standard straight tour!! Thanks, Joel!
Overall, terrific experience with LisbonBeach. Could not have been better.

From the moment we arrived in Lisbon to the final drop off at the airport, we were given royal treatment!
LisbonBeach hosted our group of 40 for the whole weekend - involving a stunning sunset boat trip, a very interesting coach tour of Belem, Cascais & Cabo Da Roca, a madly sociable night walking tour of Lisbon and a heavenly beach day at Costa De Caparica!
Amazing lunches and dinners were laid on at world class restaurants. Transport and logistics were impeccable.
And all at a fantastic price!!
And more than all that, our guides were helpful, interesting, knowledgeable, used great humour throughout and made our weekend so special! In fact I hope that our guides now consider themselves friends & visit England someday because that's how we all felt about them!
It was honestly the best weekend of my life thanks to "Lisbon Beach" hosting our very mixed (age, sex, sexual orientation, nationality) group of family & friends!! Thank you again!!

We have used the Lisbon Beach Tour few times. As usual the booking process is very easy and the pick up was on time. We have had different “tour guide” every time but one thing in common – they are all very professional and friendly. The gentleman we had this time was super funny and explain the beach well. We were kept entertained throughout our journey to and from Lisbon to the beach.
The tour was well organised and saves you all the hassle to arrange your own transport, towels, drink and umbrella (drink and umbrella are optional but I would strongly recommend adding them) .
We made some great friends from the tour and had a fantastic time on the beach. It was a hot and sunny day but yet the sea water was so refreshing. Beach 19 is so lovely and I can’t wait to come back.

The dynamics of tours are complex--from large to very small (three of us, a couple and moi) Alpha males are abundant--it seems there is one in every group.--enough said. The climb up to Palacio de Pena was rigorous, even for someone is fairly good shape. The castle, well,it is sui gerneris, architecturally; an aerial view makes it look like it was made of lego blocks The colors! Diego's description of the styles, the history and the raison d'être of the castle/palace were indispensable in understanding this national monument. . The Cabo da Roca was, well, geographically significant. (I am a city rat) I knew already about Cascais ; i personally wanted to see the casino in Estorirl, but that was not in the itinerary.
Like Cascais, Tangier and others, they were hang outs of the rich and displaced in the 40's. Perhaps a place of hosts.
Diego and I spoke English, Portuguese/Spanish and French, which made us communicate on many levels. Our fellow travelers were monolingual.
This was the must-see tour and I am glad it was with Diego.

We had the opportunity to book 2 tours with Lisbon Beach Tours (half day walking tour and full day in Belem and Sintra). Both were private tours. Nuno was our guide on both tours and Diogo accompanied us on the second day. I have to say that they made our visit to Lisbon very special. Nuno was very knowledgeable and provided us just the right amount of information about the city and its sites. At the same time, we learned about the LGBT life in Portugal and more specifically in Lisbon.
I strongly recommend Lisbon Beach Tours, they will certainly enhance your experience in Portugal

Our guide Diogo was a hoot and so much fun and FULL of amazing information. We spent the day exploring so many wonderful sites. Sintra and Cascais especially. the lunch stop and walking tour after was superb. There were only 4 guests on the tour and we felt so special for it. Thanks again Diogo!

Why did the guide not bother to turn up for our tour - we waited over an hour !!!!! Can we have our money back please - complete waste of time !!!°

Do you want to be ripped off? Don't book with this company! They will not show up to the tour and will ignore calls and emails. The will keep your money! Filing a lawsuit.

Why don't you contact us back about our refund? No tour guide arrived! After 6 emails and 4 calls you would think Lisbon Beach would reach out to us. Unprofessional and THIEVES!
