Neighborhood: Graça & São Vicente
You can be thankful that most common travel guides don't mention Graça and São Vicente that often. Part of Lisbon's historic center and "Old Town", they feel like independent villages in the capital's center, and more untouched than Alfama. Amazing views, restaurants and parks, as well as important monuments like the S. Vicente Church and the National Pantheon, make this a spectacular option for those looking for a more tranquil walk-around in the center of Lisbon. Graça has been the choice of many younger people over the past years, both nationals and expats, given the cozy feeling of the neighborhood and its hidden secrets.

Miradouro da Graça offers a beautiful view of the city, making it a perfect spot to unwind and soak in the scenery. We particularly enjoyed visiting during sunset; the golden light enhances the stunning landscape and creates a magical atmosphere. Adding to the charm, there was music on the street, creating a lively ambiance that made our experience even more enjoyable. If you're in Lisbon, be sure to stop by this viewpoint for some breathtaking sights!

So beautiful. Pay the 5 euro and go in the roof, the view is amazing and the tourists are too cheap to pay. They also give you a free beer(!!). The tiles murals and frescos are also amazing in the part of the convent you pay to enter.

Place recommended by the views and the church and convent are next to the viewpoint. I walked upstairs and there are many slopes. You get a little tired. Then coming downstairs I saw there's a funicular to go upstairs. But where it is in funicular and where it goes down (area of narrow alleys of stairs) is very little recommended. It's the place where people go on drugs. At 11 a.m. there was a couple jabbing each other. Be a little scary.

One of the well-known viewpoints of Lisboa visited by many tourists. First you have to run up a steeper mountain or let yourself be driven. Then a wide, beautiful view of the city spreads out. We walked from Castelo Sao Jorge, which is a short walk with more views! Just enjoy the view!

This is a great lookout spot with views of the old city below, plus the castle. This is also a lovely park with places to sit when you are tired of climbing hills and walking around. A combination of a view point with a park.

It is a free funicular, lovely retro style. The trip is very short too, I think less than 2 min. The views are very worth it! The only downside might be the wait but it probably depends on how lucky you are - we have waited around 15 min, when the number of people waiting reached 10, everyone was allowed to go in.

This must surely be one of the finest views in Lisbon, although it is currently partially marred by the presence of a very large crane. The building works are apparently here to construct a funicular which will allow better access to the viewpoint. The railings at the edge of the viewpoint get quite crowded at sunset, so get here with time to snag your spot at the front.

Instead of spending 15 EUR on entry to the Castelo de São Jorge, which is only a few hundred meters away, is overrun with tourists and offers a similar view, it is better to spend the money in the café here at Miradouro da Graca. The beer is cold, the view is great (+ free) and the atmosphere is relaxed. That's how you can enjoy Lisbon.

The view from here is splendid and it's free of course. It gives another point of view different from the other viewpoints. You can also buy a ticket for €5 to access the terrace/roof of the church which will give you an even more beautiful view and fewer people (1 glass of wine offered with the ticket). You have to wait for the sunset: magnificent

Graca is the neighborhood located on the highest hill. I recommend getting there by tram 28 (not the historic one, always very crowded and with long queues) and then 'get off' there on foot crossing the whole of Alfama. This miradouro offers a beautiful view of the Sao Jorge Castle and the 25th of April Bridge.

This is one of many lookouts over the city of Lisbon and the Douro River known as Miradouros. At Miradouro da Graça (Portuguese for Grace Viewpoint), you’ll find far fewer tourists than the wildly popular Miradouro das Portas do Sol, with more locals than outsiders and even a small bar and patio. From this vantage point, you’ll have a great view of Lisbon. As an added bonus, you can walk through the gorgeous Church of Our Lady of Grace next to this Miradouro, the namesake for the lookout.

Made our way to this viewpoint as we were in the area. The view was ok but I don’t find red roof tiles particularly interesting to look at. A nice view of the castle but that’s sort of it. There’s a few spots to sit and rest however the tour guides and jewellery sellers will approach you. Google maps showed some ‘street art’ located down an alleyway and there was some decent stuff. But mostly it was rubbish graffiti, dog poo on the path and the smell of pee.

We found him walking from our apartment. To see the sunset we decided to do it from the Mirador da Senhora do Monte and after dinner we went to the kiosk there since we had seen that after the sunset it cleared up quite a bit and it was a very nice place to have a drink on the terrace . Good views from the viewpoint (not the best, although this is very subjective), good atmosphere and friendly service at the kiosk. The tequila margarita, very good.

This is a fantastic viewpoint to see more of Alfama but due to it's angle it also takes in the vast 25 de Abril bridge that you can see rising high above the river and then entering into the city. This was my joint top Mirodouro of the eight that I saw. Breathtaking!

Beautiful views of the city of Lisbon! Walking around the area below, we stumbled upon the stairs leading up to this area by the church. You can take a funicular; however, why when you find some stairs that no one else is walking up…lol. After a long walk up these stairs, we emerged right by a little park with a fountain beside the church. Going around to the side of the church, there was a little outdoor cafe where we got a glass of wine and a bite to each while admiring the panoramic view of Lisbon. (Esplanada Igrejada Graçia is the outdoor cafe) Afterwards, we walked around the church and park the other way and found another road leading straight up. You must walk up this way for more beautiful panoramic views of Lisbon and if you are lucky, there will be wonderful street musicians playing guitar. Sit down on one of the benches, listen to the live music, and enjoy the beauty of the city! ( You will also see a large beautiful paining of flowers in a terracotta pot on the side of a building on your way up this other area).

The Miradouro da Graca viewpoint is one of the most popular viewpoints in Lisbon. This viewpoint is located on the border Graca and Alfama districts. It is a popular meeting place for students, young people and couples in love, all thanks to its view of Lisbon's historic center, the Baixa district and the Tagus River. At the Miradouro de Graca , you can find a kiosk serving hot and cold drinks, and a dozen tables and benches, all surrounded by trees that cast shade .There is also the imposing church of Igreja da Graca here. A great place for any traveler. At the same time, after getting there, you can admire the beautiful views as well as regenerate before further walks. It is worth taking photos here, to make the memories stay longer. Beautiful place. Although it is popularly called the Graca viewpoint - Miradouro da Graca - its official name is Miradouro Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen. It is named after the famous Portuguese writer.
