We just spent three days touring Lisbon and surrounding area with Andy. We could not have asked for better. Andy is engaging, very knowledgeable, patient and sends the vibe that he wants you to love his beautiful country as much as he does. Our first day was spent traversing Lisbon proper on the full day Lisbon tour.We walked 17K steps but we learned so much about the history, culture, food and life for Portuguese. When it was time for a coffee break we took one. He was unflappable and oozed positivity. His clear communication and his vast knowledge on many subjects was impressive. Our second day was Sintra, Cascais and Cabo da Roca. Again a great informative tour filled with a vast array of experiences, delicious lunch and a mix of walking and riding…third day was to Evora, Monsarraz and wine tasting. A long day, but probably my favorite as the variety was consistently interesting and informative. Highly, highly recommend Andyand this company. We truly feel as though we have gained a new friend in Portugal. I would like to add that we have engaged private guides around the world and Andy is hands down the best EVER. As we are moving on to other parts of Portugal, Andy provide us a detailed list of things to do, restaurants and other tips for enjoying and learning while here. Company was so easy to work with…organized, responsive and clear with specifics.

Our driver and guide, Andy, was wonderful. His English was really good as well as 3 other languages. He was training a new guide that day so we got two guides for the price of one! My husband and I were able to adapt our tour to our needs and pace. We were at the end of a 2 week jaunt through Spain and Portugall and we were pretty tired. We are not spring chickens anymore but still wanted to see as much of the Lisbon area as we could. Andy was very knowledgeable about the area and sites and took us exactly where we wanted to go and didn’t rush us. We even got some shopping in and they carried our packages. Pena Palace in Sintra was amazing and Andy shared so many interesting tidbits as we toured. We saw the lovely beach town of Cascais with new eyes as Andy was raised there and shared his experiences and childhood memories. They took us to a marvelous local club for a yummy lunch that we would never had found on our own. It was an incredible day with two wonderful and gentlemanly guides.

This trip was part of my mother's 80th birthday weekend celebrations and we had written in advance regarding mobility issues. No consideration had been given by Joe to mobility in planning this trip. Neither had he checked that the sites we were taken to were open (Museu do Combatente, Jeronímos monastery, Roman amphitheatre). All were closed, or closed when we visited. He eventually just drove around the city, parked, stayed with the van and directed us to several sites 'that one has a nice ceiling'. After visiting a very nondescript bookshop - we decided to cut the tour short. This was the main event of the weekend and a tremendous disappointment. The tour was expensive and in no way enjoyable or value for money.

Diogo with Portugal Magik was our wonderful guide for our private tour from Lisbon to Evora and Monsaraz. He is absolutely the best! Knowledgeable, charming, and extremely helpful in making things work for my husband who is facing hip surgery. Diogo went out of his way to give us our best day in Portugal. Our lunch in Monsaraz was amazing and we loved our visit to very good family-owned winery. It could not have been better.

I couldn't find a tour company that went where I wanted to go so I booked a private tour (I was traveling alone) and they let me customize it to go to Sintra, Cascais and Regaleira. If you travel to this area, do it with Joe! He is knowledgeable and so much fun to spend the day with! We went to a great restaurant by Apple Beach for lunch. Joe picked me up from my hotel which was really nice. I learned a lot and made a new friend! This day trip was a highlight of my whole time in Portugal.
