We went there on a Friday night not knowing what to expect. Live music started late but that is what it usually does in this town. We were amazed by the band playing that night and their diligence with little to no breaks despite a lot of action. The bar reminds us of an Irish pub and is quite nice, staff is friendly and helpful. That night we did not pay a cover charge, drinks for Central European levels are very reasonable, but for a local quite highly priced. The place was almost completely filled with locals, may be because it is a bit out of the center of town and not so convenient to get there by public transport only. However, the riverside is a nice place and taxis are inexpensive. I can only recommend visitors to drop in and enjoy the live music, well worth the effort, more so since a lof of good music clubs in Lisbon have already closed their doors due to economical trouble. This club hopefully will keep going and every visitor should drop in and help keep it alive.

Lisbon's bars are usually a bit more thumping and too-cool-for-school for my almost-40-year-old tamer tastes. But this place was a big exception! We went for a company Christmas party, and it was great. The food was fine, nothing special but perfectly nice. The service was amazing, really, super friendly and attentive. And the band (Triskle Trio) was so much fun! They played everything from Spandau Ballet to Highway to Hell, with a little U2 and Percy Sledge thrown in for good measure. Overall, what I loved best was the casual cool decor and the whole atmosphere that matched. Great for a fun night out with friends, and no need to squeeze into skinny jeans and a metallic tank top just to get past the doorman! :)

What a fun night we had. A band called Pao Azeite and Alho were playing. They started off with a play on fado music (traditional Portuguese music) and ended off playing music that had us dancing at our tables. A great evening out. The music here does only start late. I think it was after midnight by the time this band got going.
