A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!

A Outra Face da Lua (The Other Side of the Moon) is a vintage shop in Lisbon downtown. It´s the best shop of this type you'll find in the city and in Portugal.
You have a great variety of pieces, especially from the 60's, 70's and 80's. The service is amazing, they are all very nice.
And it not only sells clothes, it also has a coffee with a variety of snacks and interesting teas. The atmosphere is great, very well done.

I went to over a dozen vintage shops during my time in Portugal, and this was the best one. The curated collection is vast, and the prices are great. I wish I could teleport here all the time.

Most of the reviewers on here will have popped into A Outra Face da Lua -The Other Side of The Moon- once or twice on a holiday. I'm an addict, and I've been through the menu twice over.
The main thing about this place is ...it's cool. For a start it is also a vintage clothes shop, so there is a constant theatre show of people coming in and trying on cookie stuff. But the food is cool too: my favourite is the guacamole and corn chips which I usually order with the hummus and carrot sticks. Try it with a pot of (real) ginger tea. That's a snack, of course, and I'll often have the Menu do Dia which is an inventive daily offering of lasagne or stew etc but always served with a twist. Hamburgers, toasts, sardines, all excellent.
Don't miss the desserts. They love to experiment (bright green sponge cake?), so it's always best to go to the counter, peer over and ask. Delicious things are done with chocolate. The house wine is excellent and there are cocktails which my lady friends like. They don't care if you drink coffee and use the wifi or just sit and slowly get tipsy all afternoon.
I said the place -and the food- were cool, but that's not all. If you don't like people dressed in the wildest outfits then don't come here. A Spanish riding hat (bright red), a waiter in a fur coat, a slinky vintage cocktail dress ...you name it. I'm talking about the servers AND the customers here.
It's less interesting outside, but when the sun is shining you'll find me there with a Cuban cigar. I've even got a cool hat now...

The shop sells damaged clothes and doesn’t warn the costumer nor exchanges the item with the receipt.

I bought a shirt for 12€, not a designer one, btw, and when I went to try it at home I realized it had two big marks of a different colour that I didn’t see in the shop due to the dim lighting
.When I took it back, the assistant informed me they don’t exchanges and she wasn’t at least pleasant about it. Not even a “ lamento” ( sorry ).

When you travel, you always expect to find the best of a place and that is what happens when go into this wonderfull shop.
The originalty stands-out by the costumized clothes and the quality of tradition is present in every single vintage item.
A blend of old days with a twist of modernity! What else could you ask for...
Plus, a bar with gourmet salads, sandwiches and the unconvencional "phsyco-active" teas.
This is really a magical place with the ability to make you travel back in time to insipre you to live in the present.
A must!

One of my favorite vintage shops I’ve been too, full of cool, quirky gems. I adore the slow fashion branding, helpful and friendly staff too. Well worth a visit even just for a browse, a coffee and a pastel de nata. Picked up a few pieces here, from running shorts to a hand stitched, silk, patchwork jacket!

We've been here twice: on the second day of our 5 day trip to Lisbon, and on the last day not long before we had to go to the airport.

It's a great place to have lunch. First time I went for the chicken toast, second time for a burger. Both were really good! I had a cocktail too (a 'Brexit'): was also good! It's also more calm around that area. Most people have lunch closer to the centre. Prices are more than okay here.

This place is part of a vintage shop, with lots of cool clothes and accesories.

I would definitely come back if we ever return to Lisbon!

Had a lovely time at Outra Face de Lua. We came there to do some shopping and were delighted to discover the sales. Staff extremely nice, charming, funny. The waiter's French was impeccable.

The setting itself is worth noting. An artist took care of the decoration, you'll meet her there. Atmosphere artistic and vintage.

Now the food. Lisbon is filled with remarkable places but let's be clear: we had never eaten a burger like that. From the fresh dough to the tender meat. We were not expecting actual cuisine but rather snacks, what a surprise! Sardines and desserts amazing as well. Had a cocktail called Brexit, what a witty place.

To cut a long story short, don't go to Lisbon without stopping by this place.

The café has the charm of the vintage place (it is collocated with a vintage boutique), however food quality is not really good and is certainly overpriced.
In a very hot day, I asked a Caprese, the most simple and fresh salad (i.e. sliced tomatoes and Mozzarella with oil and basil).
What they brought me was a sandwich with old tomatoes, old and acid mozzarella and stale bread.
They try to hide the bad quality of the ingredient warming the sandwich, that make it all dry and much more unpleasant to eat …
The bill was quite high, too high to give this place a second chance.
