We decided to go to the Aquarium as a break from all the walking. We got the Metro to Campo Ruivo and had approx a 15 minute walk to the aquarium. This is the nearest Metro stop but there is a train stop a little closer. The Aquarium was 17 euros which I think is reasonable priced considering how expensive... More

Small aquarium and sea related museum but still nice specially to go with young kids or just by yourself. Teenagers might feel it as obsolete. Depending on your and kids relation with fish you will love, or not, the huge Koy carps in the pond at the entrance garden. You're supposed not to feed it but take a biscuit with... More

Enormous collection of sea life, in an ultra modern building. Very intelligent choice of species. Must go.

This is the best aquarium I have ever seen and I have seen a lot of them in USA, Europe and Asia - and a few in Africa. Must visit if You like aquariums

It's very good for everyone in your family, from kids to grown ups. There is a lot to see and learn about the oceans and the sea life. I know some aquariums around the world and I'm yet to see a better one.

My son went crazy because of the fish and other animals. It is in a more modern area of Lisbon and there is also a cable car near there. I don't know whether I would go there if I wasn't with my son, but it is very beautiful. You will need at least 2 hours to visit it.

Vasco da Gama's Aquarium is a good place to go with your children. They see lots of different fish species and enjoy themselves exploring. Some drawbacks: some fish tanks are too high, small children can't see on their own; the only "big" animals that you see is a turtle and a seal. Nevertheless, it is not very expensive so your... This is an old aquarium and museu (late XIX century) that holds one of the first oceanographic collection of the world, that belonged to the Portuguese King D.Carlos I. You can find there a vast number of specimens of all oceans with a specific focus on the Atlantic coast, Portuguese in particular. Side by side with modern tanks, you can... More

The old Lisbon aquarium brings us a great vision of the oceans and the past of oceanography developed by the Portuguese. Is a place a bit forgotten, but a nice and exciting spot to check in a calm day
