We had the pleasure to do the food tour of Porto with Joao. He took us to eat the typical local food meanwhile explaining why and how those food became a part of Porto’s history.
Joao took the time to walk us around the city explaining the history, architecture and the culture. He is very knowledgeable and we truly enjoyed the whole experience.
We are happy that he was our tour guide because he’s friendly, warm and easy to get along with. He was flexible and adjusted the tour to our interest.

Tempo VIP Tours really knows Lisbon and the surrounding areas in Portugal, and they provide truly outstanding service. When a minor mis-communication occurred, the owner stepped in immediately to resolve the issue, he refused to be compensated, and the company fulfilled the contract gratis! This is clearly above and beyond anything even the most demanding client could expect. All in all, a wonderful recovery from just a short-term issue WHICH HAD ALREADY BEEN RESOLVED! The driver-guide they provided - Samuel - was knowledgeable, properly friendly, and very good at getting us to the best vistas despite my health limitations. He is also an interesting, very nice guy; someone you would want for a friend.
We had a half-day city tour and transfer from our cruise ship to hotel the first day, the a one-day tour to Sintra with a scenic coastal return including many delightful sights, and finally a half day museum tour on our last day in Lisbon. To give you an idea or the level of service Tempo VIP provides, we expressed an interest in a few stops including the coach museum. Their manager checked each museum, learning that the Coach Museum was temporarily closed and also finding out which museums had wheelchairs available, going beyond expectations to find out what procedures were required to get one in each location. This is clearly beyond what anyone can expect of a tour company; these people work hard to insure you have a good time and see the best parts of Lisbon and area, in accord with YOUR priorities. The best we've ever found in 50 years of travelling!

The service delivered by Tempovip went far beyond our expectations. The chauffers Paulo & Nuno were very gracious & extremely knowledgeable. They answered all our questions regarding the history & culture of Lisbon. They adapt to our last minute changes and thus satisfy us.
We had a couple of aged people with us and they made sure that they were comfortable throughout the tour. We had a great sightseeing with them and won't hesitate to book them for our next trip.

While the driver and guide were excellent, they were contracted by TempoVIP and are not actual employees of theirs. The driver and guide were fantastic. This review pertains to TempoVIP itself. They had scammed us and charged €225 per person for a charcuterie board picnic in a public space. They claimed that it was because it included the cost of the tour of Biester Palace but the entry sign stated that it only costs €10 per person and so it was a complete scam.
They were not accommodating of minor changes and did not reserve the restaurant recommendation as we had asked. They were also very difficult to communicate with directly and would require multiple messages to get answers from them.
We would never recommend them again.

This company is a professional organization and our tour to Fatima was the highlight of our vacation. We were transported in a Mercedes Van by our driver Ana who is a wonderful and knowledgeable young lady. I highly recommend this company and was very pleased.

Our tour guide-driver (Bruno) customised our day trip on the fly. For travellers who like to stop for an impromptu coffee or bite to eat this is ideal. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Bruno. We started our day with a pick up in Lisbon and headed straight to Sintra (via the coffee shop!). We arrived early (a good tip) and caught a glimpse of Sintra (some people spend the day we were happy with a few hours). Next stop beachside town Cascais... we liked it but it was too toursity for us so Bruno customised the trip and drove us to the "locals" beach on the other side of Lisbon ( I can't say where otherwise it won't be local anymore). We finished the day with a stop at Belem. Bruno waited in the long line for the pastal da natal (yum) while we toured the monastery. Fabulous day. Obregado Bruno. (And thanks to Lukas our friendly account manager at the office.)

We initially booked two TempoVip tours and following the first tour we immediately added a third and then a fourth! We knew not to let such a great opportunity pass us by. This company provided us with touring that exceeded our expectations for quality service and kind attention. Lucas was an excellent facilitator and communications were very easy. We cannot say enough about our wonderful guide, Paolo. He was thoughtful, warm, and caring and also a wealth of knowledge. Not only did we have a great educational experience but we also shared great fun and a lot of laughs.
Now we are off to Paris and only wish TempoVip had a branch there. Great company and great fun!

We had four tours with TempoVIP while we were in Portugal: Sintra, Obidos, Lisbon and Porto. As many reviewers noted, pre-tour communications, flexibility, cars were all excellent. I would like to commend the people working for the company the most though. We had two wonderful tour drivers. Marcin was with us for three days. He is a wonderful, warm and caring person. He made our tours easy and relaxing. Though he was not supposed to act as a tour guide, only a tour driver, he provided a lot of information. When he acted as a tour guide, he provided us with an amazing depth of information. While traveling, I try to avoid tourist traps, and Marcin helped us find excellent restaurants.
In Porto, we were accompanied by Luis who is absolutely in love with his city and shares this love with his clients. He knows the history of practically every building in Porto.
We had a small misunderstanding regarding the services we were supposed to receive during our tours. Mistakes happen. However, it is the way the company chooses to deal with them that shows the quality of that company. I believe that the way TempoVIP handled this situation can be included into tourism text books as an example of how to resolve potential conflict situations and leave your clients with only positive feelings about your company. Jorge, the manager, was superb.
I highly recommend TempoVIP.

I worked with Danielo Cerqueira when we had to get 160 partners and customers from a business conference held at a resort 30 minutes outside of the city to their individual flights on time. Danielo and his team were excellent at handling the last-minute changes and grouping people into cars to make the shuttling as efficient and cost-effective as possible. The vehicles are a fleet of mint-condition Mercedes, driven by polite and impeccably-dressed drivers. On the way to the conference, I took a local taxi that cost the same and had me wondering whether I would make it to the destination when the taxi driver had to call in for directions. Completely different from Tempo VIP. To top it off, I forgot my cell phone in the car when I got out at the airport. The driver came back to the terminal and delivered the phone to me. I would use Tempo VIP again for myself on a trip for pleasure and for any future business needs.

Is it possible to hire a driver/guide for a trip from Lisbon to Porto with a stop in Coimbra on the way, two travellers with a couple of bags?

Yes the trains were what we initially thought we would do, but we don’t have time to stay overnight and I heard there was no place at the train stations in Coimbra to store bags while we walked around the city. Did you only stop at any other places other than Coimbra?

Olá, gostaria de saber os valores para quatro pessoas para tours com guia em lisboa, fatima, coimbra e porto para aproximadamente 9 dias. Gostaríamos de tours para os principais pontos turísticos nessas cidades, sendo que meus pais são idosos e tem mobilidade reduzida (podem andar distâncias curtas e sem escadas). Obrigado!
