We walked into this place (which is not that easy to find) without a reservation, and got accepted into a tour right away. They do tours in English and Portuguese. Our tour guide, Isabella, was friendly, fun, and very knowledgeable. It was facinating to learn...More

The visit is free, and yet, Milennium bank put an amazing amount of effort into the preservation of the site and making it accessible to the public. It's not Disneyland so kids might not appreciate it unless parents do their share to instill some appreciation...More

Yep! Under the streets of Lisbon and under a bank, we joined a docent and walked down steps to see fascinating archaeological ruins. Not easy to arrange the tour, but we were so glad we did! Remarkable!

I was looking forward to this and it didn’t disappoint. We visited at 10am and found availability on the 4pm English tour. After a mooch round the castle we returned and were guided by Maria, an archaeologist. The tour was superb and the ruins found...More

A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site,
Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply
