I went on tour "Beyond the tram 28" and just loved. I'm from the north of Portugal and this walk was the best opportunity to discover some of the best views and places of this beautiful city. I was also suprised by the amount of knowledge that they showed. Quality information and passion that gave me a wonderful afternoon. The neighborhoods are fantastic. When i can i wil do others tours so i can say "I really know this city". Thanks guys. Really thankful.

Joanna initiated the Lisbon Spirit walking tour out of sheer love for her birth city. My 6 month old baby and I are glad to be the first official recipients of her well selected walking routes. We were well informed and well looked after on the 3 hour walk. Sights and spots of historic note and Joanna's personal favourites made for an enthralling tour!

I guess these tours guide are the perfect opportunity to know more about the history and culture of Lisbon. I am living in Lisbon for 2 years and I still didnt know so much about the city, so it was a good opportunity to know it! Moreover, it was a really beautiful and enjoyable tour as the neighborhoods we visited are amazing (Alfama, Graça). For sure I ll try the other tours you have! Thanks a lot for the nice time we spent!! :)

The founders of Lisbon Spirit, Joana and Nuno, love their city and they can communicate their passion as they guide you through its nooks and crannies. We had a window late on a Saturday afternoon to dig deeper into the city but their normal tour did not fit our timetable. Joana worked with us to create a private tour for four adults based on her standard walk through Alfama that they call Beyond Tram #28. What service. She met us at our hotel, then took us by Metro to catch Tram #28 which we took to the end of the line. Then followed a delightful mostly downhill stroll through the Alfama District with great views over the city and great stories about the history of the area. We felt we were walking with a long time friend as she showed us parts of her city. Highly recommend.

A young couple started Lisbon Spirit , they offer you a nice trip through Lisboa, put on your comfortable shoes and experience the beautiful city of Lisboa. We took the 'beyond the tram n.28' tour, really nice tour. At the end we had lunch at Zazou Bazar & Café, we had different kind of home made food, like bread, sausages, 'green wine' and sandwiches. Take the walking tour when you are in Lisboa and want to get to know the city !

We find walking tours as the best way to find out more about the cities we have visited (eg Paris, Berlin, London) and this walk was one of the best yet. We chose the "Chiado & Bairro Alto" walk and found our guide, Nuno, easily by the statue at Praca Luis de Cameos.
Nuno was very informative and engaging providing a wealth of information not only about the area we visited (inc. a funicular ride) but also Lisbon and Portugal. He also answered all of our questions and provided valuable advice on places to visit after our walk. His presentation style was excellent mixing serious topics with some light hearted stories.
I cannot think of a better way of spending 3+ hours in Lisbon - superb.

I know Lisbon since I was born and it was the first time I saw Cristo Rei and the amazing landscapes of the City from the very top. The views you can get from the places you are taken to, combined with the good spirit and enthusiasm of our guides made this trip absolutely gorgeous! I strongly recommend!!!

We booked our first walk by phone an hour before it was scheduled to start and Joanna agreed to meet us and take us on the tour of Alfama with the Beyond the Tram 28 guided walking tour. It was a great experience with just the kind of information we wanted and needed to gain more of an appreciation of Lisbon. We decided to book two more walks with Lisbon Spirit. Joanna gave us advice on filling in the intervening day with a trip to Sintra.
Nounou was our guide for "From the Other Side" and the Belem walking tour. He was 'brilliant' - he entertained and educated us as we explored corners of these areas few tourists are likely to see. We came away with a much more sophisticated understanding of what we were seeing and experiencing and of the history of Lisbon and Portugal. Nounou and Joanna told the stories of the city and country they obviously love with respect and understanding. They helped us experience Lisbon at a pace we enjoyed and were able to keep up. We loved the rides on trams, ferries and elevators and especially loved the Belem pastry at the end of our adventure in Belem. We highly recommend Lisbon Spirit.

I picked up a very intriguing leaflet - sober, clean, good graphics - from the tourist office and booked my first tour with Joanna, an architect and charming young lady. I started out with "Beyond the Tram 28" and was so enthralled and enchanted that I graduated to "Around Avenida da Liberdade" and "From the Other Side". Joanna works during the week so Nounou (Urban Renewal expert and history buff) takes over during the week. I did a brilliant walking tour of "Chiado and Bairro Alto" with him one morning and regretted that I hadn't found them on my first day. My wish would be that every city have young people like this: in love with their city and their culture and a desire to communicate this to others. Bravo!!!
