"Truly Premium"

My husband and I went on a trip to Portugal for 7 days. We used Premium Tours for our entire trip and we were extremely satisfied with the service and our tour guides were wonderful! Both Pedro and Bernardo were knowledgeable, punctual, funny, friendly and accommodating. Premium tours tailored the trip to our requests, and we were able to sightsee and visit the cities we wanted to visit. In Porto our guide was Pedro and he was absolutely wonderful besides being our tour guide he drove us to our tours he also made our restaurant reservations along the way and suggested great restaurants.
We did 2 tours:
1. 4 hour Walking tour of Porto with wine tasting
2. Braga and Guimarães full day tour
For the remainder of the trip our guide was Bernardo, and he was absolutely wonderful as well.
We did 3 tours:
1. Transfer from Porto to Lisbon and 2 city stops along the way ( Tomar and Coimbra tour) which was amazing and we did not lose half a day on just traveling from one city to another we were also able to have a guided tour along the way.
2. 4 hour Lisbon walking tour
3. Half-day Sintra tour
Bernardo also helped us to reserve restaurants and made great suggestions for dinners.
I highly recommend Premium Tours as our experience was great and we look forward to coming back to Portugal and will definitely use their services on our next trip.

Wonderful trip with Portugal Premium Tours!

What a wonderful 8 days with Portugal Premium Tours! Our guide/driver was Bernardo and he was the best!! This was our second visit to Portugal and repeat clients of PPT. I gave this company an excellent review in 2016 and this time is no different. They are EXCELLENT and we have no complaints. From the start of the booking process and throughout the tour everything was superb. We wanted to see the countryside of Portugal and we got it! Bernardo picked us up at the Lisbon airport and off we were to Évora to start our adventure. Walking tour, wine tasting, cork factory, pottery shop and a visit to Monsaraz was just our first day! We visited villages, castles, monasteries, churches, and sanctuaries that were just amazing. The views from many of these sites were simply breathtaking and the sunset in Marvão was just beautiful. One of our absolute favorites was Monsanto, considered the most Portuguese village in the country. The walk up to the mountain was an experience and we definitely got our exercise. The weather was perfect and the views were SPECTACULAR! We had a few days with rain but we made the best of it. Just roll with it! One of the coolest places we visited is the Burel Factory in Manteigas, indoors and perfect for a rainy day. It was fascinating to see how wool is used to make a myriad of things in this full working factory. Our itinerary also included the Douro valley, cities of Braga, Guimarães and Porto. Boat rides on the river and wine tastings were among our activities. We finished our tour with a visit to Coimbra University, the country’s first university. Our days were jammed packed and it’s impossible to list everything. However, let me just say how wonderful it was to spend this time with Bernardo. He was our guide, extremely knowledgeable about Portugal’s history and an excellent driver. He chose great restaurants for our lunches everyday and they did not disappoint. Bernardo checked in on us when he dropped us off at our hotel at the end of each day to make sure all was okay and recommended restaurants for dinner if we needed them. He was prompt everyday and genuinely cared about us and our wellbeing. He went above and beyond! We also had our own personal photographer, always happy to take our pictures! We will miss him! If we visit Portugal again, PPT will be our choice. The best company to experience Portugal!

Two magical weeks in Portugal

Our family went on a two-week custom tour of Portugal planned in its entirety by Portugal Premium Tours. From the moment we inquired their response was prompt and courteous and the planning process was seamless. All questions were answered and accommodations to the itinerary were made in order to suit our needs. Gabriela was professional throughout the whole process. The company went above and beyond expectations but what truly made this experience very memorable was our tour guide, Carlos Godinho. Carlos was professional, knowledgeable, funny and very kind. He led us through the most seamless two weeks. He has an impressive amount of historical, cultural, and geographical knowledge of Portugal, which he was able to share with us in an exceptional manner. Thanks to him we were able to eat at fantastic restaurants throughout our stay. He was always in tune with our preferences and tastes and planned accordingly. He was flexible, efficient and allowed us to make the most of our time. He maintained an impeccable vehicle throughout our trip even with our one-year-old in the mix. He was nurturing and kind with our child and never hesitated to help us with her throughout our trip. It was all the little things that he provided without being asked that make him and this company stand out. There are truly not enough words to describe what a wonderful experience we had in the company of Carlos, also known as the last templar, as we affectionately called him. I cannot recommend this company and tour guide enough. We hope to see Carlos in the future and will be recommending him to all our friends and family. Don’t hesitate to book!

A perfect ending to a high school reunion

We were a group of 18 seniors took on a two day private post cruise tour of Lisbon city, Belem and Sintra organised by The Premium Tour of Lisbon. Our guide, Herlander Lima and our driver had done a fantastic job and left us with fond memory of Lisbon and Portugal. Herlander was an exceptional guide, probably the best tour guide I have ever met. He was very knowledgeable, good manner and his command of English was impeccable. He was very considerate and our old folks were well taken care off. It was an excellent tour and Premier Tour and Herlander provided the perfect ending to our high school reunion.

Fantastic custom Portugal tour with Diogo

If you are thinking about a private tour in Portugal, I would highly recommend Premium Tours. From the first contact by email their service was outstanding. I had requested a custom 7-day tour for my wife, son and myself. Within twenty-four hours of first contact, Catarina emailed me back a custom detailed itinerary that was perfect. She recommended hotels in each city and even one closer to the airport for our last night in Portugal. Later, as we got closer to our arrival, Ines became my point of contact and her communication was excellent. Once we arrived in Lisbon, a professional driver was waiting for us and took us to our hotel.

Our first tour day was the next morning. Diogo our tour guide was at our hotel right on time and 5 minutes later we were off to Sintra. Over the next 7 days, we experienced amazing sites, wonder food, and a warm and inviting culture. Portugal is such an amazing and special place. With beautiful landscapes, enlightening historical sites, and charming people.

All that said, it was our guide Diogo that made the trip a once in a lifetime experience. You could not ask for a better person to experience Portugal with. His passion for the country and historical knowledge make the country come to life. He is engaging, interesting and extremely thoughtful. His tour is well planned and he has a contingency for what seem like every scenario. He was never in a rush and made several unplanned stops to show us something unique in some small village along the way. We were there at Christmas and he was so concerned we would have places to eat on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day he called around to confirm open restaurants and provided us with their locations. Just one of many gestures of kindness to make sure our experience was wonderful. I literally could not ask for more from a guide. By the end, we felt we had made a lifelong friend.
On our final morning, the professional driver was on time to shuttle us to the airport for our flight home. Everything about Premium Tours exceeded our expectations and provided the most unique travel experience we have ever had.

Amazing Portugal Vacation with Lifelong Friends

Premium Tours did a fantastic job of planning a 10 day tour of both the Lisbon and Porto areas of Portugal for a group of 20 lifelong college friends. Our tour included transfers to and from the airport, city tours of Lisbon, Sintra, Tomar, Coimbra, Fatima, Obidos, Nazare, Porto, Braga, Guimaraes, and Wine Tasting in the Douro Valley. Our bus arrived on time every day. The bus was clean, comfortable and our bus drivers were friendly.

Our 10 days were made extra special by our absolutely AMAZING tour guide Diogo Costa. He was knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and fun. The PERFECT tour guide.

We had an memorable vacation, even amidst COVID-19. I highly recommend Premium Tours and Diogo Costa!

Two-Week Honeymoon Through Portugal

My husband and I just returned from a 15-day honeymoon through Portugal organized by Jose Pais and guided by Diogo Costa at Portugal Premium Tours. It was an incredible trip from start to finish. The planning process was easy and convenient, with a Zoom call and email exchanges with Jose to tailor our itinerary. Even up until a week before our arrival, we were able to make scheduling changes to accommodate activities we wanted to participate in (e.g. Lisbon Minimarathon, professional photographer, cooking class, restaurant reservations, SLB football match). Our guide throughout, Diogo, was accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to be flexible. We appreciated that he suggested changes to the itinerary as he got to know us better and in order to adapt to the weather. His knowledge of all things Portugal is truly impressive, and we really appreciated the special treatment he gave us. Not to mention, he is a great photographer! He captured memories of us that we will always look back fondly on.

Thank you to the entire team at Portugal Premium Tours for the fantastic vacation, and we can't wait to see you again soon!

Corona Virus Mess .... Well Done Premium Tours

For several months we were in talks with Premium Tours in order to set a 10-day itinerary for our family now in March.

A few days before the start of the tours together with Premium Tours we realized that we would hardly be able to do these tours due to the restrictions imposed by the Corona disease.

The Premium Tours Team was tireless to find a solution.

Right now we are seeing an option for the end of the year taking advantage of the low price of hotels and flights. We are guaranteed by Premium Tours that our deposit is guaranteed for 2020 or 2021.

It is very comforting that in the midst of this crisis that affects us all, we know that this company is managing the matter so responsibly.

What we want is that as soon as we can finally get to know Portugal, and the Premium Tours team.

Fantastic job, even when Covid hit

PPT did a fantastic job with our week-long private tour. We aren't wine lovers (yes...I know....heresy in Portugal), and they happily modified our itinerary to emphasize the art/church/history angle.

Herlander was personable, prompt, knowledgeable, accommodating, and always kept us apprised of our upcoming events and options. Most importantly, when I tested positive for Covid the day before our flight back to the US, he made sure I'd found safe, reasonably priced accommodations; took me to a local market to get food, toiletries and other necessities; and then picked me up the day after our tour officially ended to make certain that I was safely situated,

These are good people who do a wonderful job of caring for their guests -- and that's especially welcome when unexpected badness hits.

Fabulous tour with a fabulous guide.

We had a private tour of UNESCO World Heritage sites in Tomar, Alcobaca and Batalha. Carlos provided a great historical context and amazing details in each place- we would have never learned so much on our own or explored the 3 monasteries in such an efficient way. He also gave us invaluable tips for sightseeing and dining only as an experienced local and fellow foodie could have - all in all a fabulous day with the top notch professional. A spacious Mercedes van with wifi, plenty of water provided - Portugal Premium Tours knows how to take care of their clients, don't hesitate to book them and ask for Carlos.
