George Emmanuel - thank you for a most memorable experience. This is a great way to take advantage of the best views throughout Lisbon. George knew all the nooks & crannies with a great historical commentary about the places we visited along the way. The bike drew attention from the Motor Bike enthusiasts travelling - the Ural, apparently, is way... More

Daniel picked us up at our hotel. It was a blast from the time we met him and saw the bike. Comfortable and COMPLETELY SAFE. Do not worry at all about this when considering this tour. Best way to start a visit to Lisbon. We were able to navigate all the areas of the city in a half day, wind... More

The best way to see Lisbon bar none had a grin nailed to my face for over 3 hours and Daniel knows the city like the back of his hand. Be warned..you become a tourist attraction yourself. We now know where to go and how to get there. There is just no better way to see Lisbon!!!

I took a full day tour with Daniel on my first day in Lisbon, and what a wonderful way to get an overview of the whole city. And what a hoot to do it in a motorcycle sidecar! Daniel was a great guide, we stopped at a lot of really lovely places, and this gave me some great ideas for... More

This tour had been recommended to us and we are SO glad we booked it. It was, as others have said, the highlight of our short break. Georges picked us up from the hotel in an immaculate bike and sidecar. Honestly the condition was fantastic. Then with admiring (and envious) hotel guests waving us off we headed off up the... More

We enjoy seeking out unique ways to explore cities while on cruises, and my wife hit the jackpot with Bike My Side! Daniel was right on time to pick us up at the port, and off we went on his 1956 BMW motorbike with side care. What a classic! He did a great job of showing us many different parts... More

Visited 4 different stops. 1st stop we received a great deal of info. 2-4 he was on his phone a bit so the commentary was brief. Overall it was fun, just a bit pricey re: the service.

Staying in Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria

Neighborhood Profile
Castelo, Alfama & Mouraria
Explore narrow streets and alleyways, small cafes and, of course, the internationally acclaimed Fado music. The earth-shattering Great Earthquake of 1755 destroyed most of the city but the contiguous neighborhoods of Mouraria, Castelo and Alfama remained standing to this day. These neighborhoods represent Lisbon at its historical best. The cool breeze of the Tagus river will take you up the hills to the sound of Fado, where you'll discover the best "tascas," eat delicious fresh fish and drink great wines. Discover hidden viewpoints and ancient traces of other civilizational ruins in the heart of the Portuguese capital. These are centuries-old neighborhoods that will welcome you to the very best of old Lisbon culture.
