More than two decades after its opening , Amoreiras Shopping Center won, definitely, a place as a Lisbon’s icon. Placed in the center of the Portuguese capital, with a very bold architecture for its time, it early became a meeting point for the upper middle and upper classes, always demanding quality and attentive to the latest fashion trends.Today, it entered to the gallery of Lisbon traditions, without losing the aura of vanguard and exclusivity that was always around it. Even after two decades, Amoreiras Shopping Center remains the top spot for exclusive brands at the very heart of Lisbon.

The Amoreiras shopping centre is in the Amoreiras centre of Lisbon. It consists of a large number of shops, cinemas and food halls.

All are quite busy, but it’s good quality. Soft, relaxing music plays in the background.

It’s worth a visit if you’re staying in Lisbon. There is also a 360 degree vantage point, which you have to pay for as it’s the one of the highest points in Lisbon

A modern shopping centre

We were here for the 360 degree panoramic view but had a brief look around but didn't do any shopping. It's a modern well maintained shopping centre with high end stores and a few eateries. Not really for me but if you are after some retail therapy then this might be up your street.

The best mall in Lisbon
There are several huge malls in Lisbon all of them with the same shops. The Amoreiras shopping center is not that big but it's surely the best in quality. Also with good restaurants. If you really want to shop this is the place.

NO NEED TO GO TOO FAR

If you're into fashion, Amoreiras Shopping Mall is the best value for money in Europe. All fashion stylists are there, with incredibly low prices, in 250 stores. But Amoreiras goes beyond that: 50 great restaurants and 10 high-tech cinemas. I strongly recommend Amoreiras, within walking distance to Lisbon downtown.

Great place to find things that are different

Most shopping centres change names and themes, but you always end up with the same stores inside. However, Amoreiras is different. It is not the biggest shopping centre in Lisbon but the variety is great. You will see shops and brands that you do not normally see and besides you have a very good restaurant area upstairs. About 1km from Pombal it is easy to get to and worth a visit.

Best shopping in Lisbon

Despite not being the biggest or even the new one, Amoreiras Shopping Center is probably the best shopping center in Lisbon. Food court is amazing 5*****

Small but enough

It's small, it's cozy and it's not crowded. It has some basic stores but it serves just right. There's also a delicious cafe on the first floor. It seems more of a local shopping center than a touristy one.

Bad experience
This mall is always empty and is very dark. However what really shocked me was that the food court has cockroaches. It was extremely disgusting to have cockroaches falling from the ceiling onto people's drinks and foods. We were then told that because of the construct that was going on in the centre, the roaches started to appear. It is really bad that despite complaints from shoppers and tenants, the centre management did nothing about it. It is quite sad to see one of Lisbon's first shopping centre to be in this state.
