Cracking afternoon driving these cool little cars around the Lisbon. We drove without maps with the aim of going left or right whenever we decided. No schedule, just having fun getting lost in the city of Lisbon! Do it!

My boyfriend and I had a great time driving around Lisbon in a GoCar and we had a blast. We booked one in advance for a full day and managed to do loads of sightseeing. As other posters have mentioned, the GPS in the car isn't great, but just turn on Google Maps on your phone and follow that instead... More

Make Lisbon Your Own Experience! Freedom, but with GPS guidance and audio tour ("she" even has a sense of humor if you make a wrong turn). See everything on *the list* and find unexpected gems. Stop to eat, drink and shop. No worries with a great crew running the shop and safely directing your experience. Many, many thanks to Patricía,... More

Its a must try ride if you are in Lisbon. Easy to get around the city and the folks are great. We lost our way with the gps guide but a call away is all you need. Aderito was all very helpful and a great guy taking time to make sure your experience with them will come back for more... More

My friend and I were in Lisbon for a few days and decided that after seeing lots of these cars around, that we would hire one ourselves! Staff were really helpful and friendly. We were shown a safety video before given the car and then showed again by a member of staff to ensure we were confident with what we... More

My girlfriend and I spent €99 on a whole-day hire of one of these. The go cars are great. They go at about 30km per hour max, but you can go wherever you like with the exception of highways and over the bridge of Lisbon. We went to Belem, and went all around the city, stopping off and seeing the... More

We booked a Go Car tour for 1.5 hours and paid 30 euros between 2 of us. We were given verbal directions by a staff member to the starting point of our 'green line/Belem' tour, which is not the best method for people who barely know the city at all. The navigation was not really a navigation, it is a... More

Gocars are heaps of fun! The cars are easy to drive, the staff are super friendly and explain everything very well. Highly recommended if you like to zip around town in a three-wheeler and enjoy more mobility than walking with more freedom than a bus tour. It's a bit hard to get the gocar back into the shop, the entrance... More

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighborhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
