This should be one of the first things you do after landing in Lisbon. Miguel will take you on a 3-hour photo walk of this stunningly beautiful city. He will show you vantage points that you could probably find on your own but in ways and with photography suggestions that are likely to make your experience and photos much better. More importantly, he will walk you through lesser-known streets and explain some of the history surrounding them, enabling you to capture sights and people you would be unlikely to discover alone. He is a friendly and engaging guy, speaks excellent English, and will customize the walk to a time convenient for you. His most popular walk is 4-7pm, but some photographers will prefer to meet him early in the morning or later at night to take advantage of the light or simply get a different sense of the city. Miguel will try to accommodate that too. Not to be missed.

You emphasize a great point about doing Photowalks on the first few days when you arrive to a location.
It allows guest not only to remember some of the forgotten photographic skills but also to get enormous amounts of information and tips from a local point of view and have an overview on the area to later decide the places where they want to go back.

I am a beginner aspiring photographer, and I took this tour to get better. My guide, Miguel, is a professional photographer and he gave me very good advice and we got some very good shots. He was very patient and asked what I was interested in shooting. He doesn't have a set agenda, and is open to whatever you want to focus on. We just moved around from higher ground and stopped wherever there might be a good shot. It was a fun way to spend an evening, walking around, looking for pictures to take. I recommend this for all different skill levels.

Highly recommend. It was a wonderful experience for me and my wife. Miguel is a professional photographer and fun person. My wife tagged along the tour and ended up taking some amazing photos under the guidance of Miguel. My wife is not a photographer and does not own any camera. We went to some beautiful spots in Lisboa. We had a wonderful time. Because of Miguel we will forever remember the wonderful time we had in Lisboa. Book a tour with Miguel and have an experience you will enjoy, and you will never forget. We recommend this tour highly.

My wife is in her 60's and has replacement knees which means steps are difficult for her. Miguel was aware of the situation and planned 2 routes which were perfect for her. His kindness and patience were fantastic!
My wife is a beginner and Miguel set the standard at exactly the right level. Not only did she gain a lot of technical knowledge but her enthusiasm was fired.
Rest assure whatever your age or capabilities with Miguel you are in very capable hands.

I had the pleasure of being the only individual on the walking tour. Miguel tailored the walk to my needs and improving my photography skills. I learned more from him in three hours than in a year trying to watch you tube videos. He taught me a different way to take photos with exposure compensation. I received many tips on composition, lighting, and even smalls tips like the way I hold my camera. This tour improved my abilities by leaps and bounds. Miguel was so kind and full of knowledge to share. He was able to answer all my questions and then some. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in photography regardless of skill level or the camera you own. If I am back in Lisbon, I will definitely join this tour again. Thanks for a wonderful morning!

My husband and I booked a photo walk through Trip Advisor with no previous reviews to go on. We’re so glad we took the risk. Miguel was an excellent photo guide and teacher. We very much enjoyed our off the tourist grid walk through Lisbon. We even had a small glass of Ginja from a tiny and very authentic bar. We would definitely recommend Miguel for those who have great cameras and for those with an iPhone camera. Miguel will help with both!

We can strongly recommend a photowalk with Miguel (we booked the night tour). Miguel was always available during our walk for background information about the city and specific areas. He's certainly also a great photographer - but he's not pushing you into any "technical" discussion about gear etc. (in case you don't want to). He's asking upfront what you're looking for and then he's arranging accordingly. Great!

Miguel is a professionally trained photographer with over 30 years of experience. He has a great eye and the necessary technique to get the perfect shot in any condition. On top of that, he is a Lisbon native and knows many hidden corners of this beautiful city. Photowalks are a side business for him and he seems to truly enjoy offering a customized experience to his clients at an affordable cost.
We hired Miguel to accompany our family of 4 on a walk to take some non-traditional family pictures of us around the city. The afternoon with Miguel was fun for us and the children and we discovered places we would have not gone to on our own. Miguel has a non-intrusive way of taking natural pictures along the way and the results are stunning!
We highly recommend Miguel as a photographer as well as an instructor. Our experience shows that he strives to understand his clients' needs to give them exactly what they are looking for and more. Taking photos of a family with 2 small children is no easy feat and Miguel not only managed but exceeded our expectations.

It’s been a fantastic afternoon, discovering the most beautiful streets of Lisbon through my lens. Miguel is a local and knows every corner. He’s a very friendly guy with an eye for the detail and a great know-how. I can only recommend, and am looking forward to my next photowalk (maybe then by night?!). Go for it, totally worth the money!!
