I visited here after coming from the cemetery to the market. Large gothic church again with an impressive interior. It has 2 large bell towers and sits proudly in a square.

Very big and very well preserved local church inside one of the most famous neighbourhoods in Lisbon! Near the local market and one of the most iconic cemeteries of Lisbon. Worth the visit

We stumbled on this church because we had taken ourselves to the Mercado do Campo Ourique. The church is next door to the market building
A lovely complex which given its size and the fact that lot of the exterior is white painted, it stands out and is impressive.
Very beautiful and peaceful inside, with a great statue of Jesus carrying his cross. Very emotional.
Worth a side trek if you are in the area.

Very imposing and impressive church...I took a look inside but it's rather simple in its decorations...still worth checking out though!

It makes for a gorgeous profile on a spacious placement. In the Neo-Gothic style, its double towers soar heavenwards.
The central portico is attractive, with an apex of a crucifix and a fine sculptural relief around the entrance.
Impressive decorative features are continued within. An expansive nave bounded by robust columns and arches culminates at the altar which is backed with a magnificent painting under vaulted ceiling designs.
