About

RIVE ROUGE was created as a challenge launched by Time Out to Manuel Reis, the owner of Lux-Fragil: to create a new bar in Mercado da Ribeira, Cais do Sodre, which would fit into the concept of the revitalization project by the magazine in 2014. RIVE ROUGE is open since November 2016. We have bar service and terrace. For cocktails, we recommend the Rive and the Rouge, as well as the Yellow Submarine and the Paloma.

I would give zero if possible. Security limited itself to explaining why our friend, a member of the group, could not enter. He began to be aggressive towards the other members of the group. If it were possible I would give -1. Terrible service and environmenT.

We went on a Saturday night and NOBODY was there. Bought thousands of dollars of bottle service before we went and we were still treated terribly. Staff is horrible and annoying and petty. The whole club is just set up so bad and it just straight up sucks. Please do not waste your time here!

Beware the bouncers

My daughter really fancied this place as part of our visit to Lisbon.
Its a long time since I went anywhere with bouncers but the experience was very bad and almost spoiled our night.
We arrived to be greeted by 2 very stern and unfriendly bouncers whose job seemed to be to intimidate and scruitinise the customers.
No smiles or welcome passed their lips and when I remarked on this was told to go elsewhere.
I have since read some reviews and then glad that their welcome tactics alongside 10 euros fee prevented a bad evening.
Be prepared for a unfriendly and rude welcome should you decide to try this place.

As bad as reviews say (or worse)

Probably the first negative review of my life.
Club was empty - that can happen when the weather is so nice. But as we exited, we got caught by their weird card system: although we had spent several times over their minimum spend, they insisted to charge more money for every individual whose card had not had its quota of spending. So guys who had paid drinks for their girlfriends, now had to pay an extra minimum spend for them. That’s bad enough. But as we were discussing politely and in a friendly manner with the rather polite girl at the cashier, a very aggressive bouncer cut in, took over, forbid is to talk to the cashier girl, threatened to call the police (not sure why, so I invited him to do so, strangely he didn’t proceed) and was simply rude and aggressive. Bottom line: being overcharged - i guess that’s ok in run-of-the-mill, cheap clubs. But this happening with so much threat and intimidation, that’s very sad.
Enjoy the rest of the city, not this sad place.

Ceremony after party

Expect to be completely mistreated and disrespected by the security, with no help or support from the managers. They forgot to give me a card at the entrance and blame me immediately to have lost it - it was necessary to check the security cameras in order to make my word heard.

ABOID AVOID. terrible club and they charged us 15euro on the way out after 3 mins inside. Called the police and wouldn’t let us out of the foyer.

Went there with a pre booked group of 30+ people. However when we get to the door they refused to let the whole group in (the only two people not allowed were the two black people in the group) and it was completely uncalled for. Will never go there again and I hope you dont.
