Fabulous experience for anyone who enjoys food and local insights

Highly recommend this wonderful way to spend the afternoon- sampling unique offerings of the city with a knowledgeable and engaging guide. Well organized for couples, groups, families and singles. Whether it’s your first or last day in Lisbon, it’s not to be missed.

A must do experience

This was an excellent food tour of the Alfama district of Lisbon. Elouise our host was great fun, really knowledgeable about the local food and the city and she gave us some great tips on where to eat in Lisbon.
It was great value for money with plenty of food and alcohol served throughout the tour. You can be assured you wont leave the tour feeling hungry.
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to sample the local cuisine and learn a little bit an out the history of Lisbon.

This tour was excellent in giving a great introduction to the classic foods of Lisbon, and doing so with small family owned businesses, offering items (eg olive oils, wines) not easily obtainable elsewhere. For instance, the olive oil at the first restaurant was made by the family owning the restaurant and is not otherwise sold—but is only available via this tasting and for use in the restaurant. The guide, Francisco, was tops—personable, funny and giving personal attention and guidance according to the interests of each guest. It was also unhurried and very informative. Finally for the money it was a great value—lots of food—I highly recommend this tour!

A definite must-do whenin Lisboa

Enjoyed every meal and drink where servings were such a delight to partake and no worries on not having enough because each dish served was quite generous. I loved how authentic the dishes were since they were made by family-owned restaurants. You will truly notice a big difference on the taste if you have tasted others before this. Was traveling with my Aunt who was on her late 60s and she was quite concerned about how "hill-y" Alfama was. But she had no problems at all, specially since the areas on foot were mostly flat. The pacing on each restaurant was also just right so it gave you time to savor and enjoy each dish, plus it gave us a chance to mingle with the rest of the group. Francisco, our guide, was very entertaining! He made it very relaxed and enjoyable althroughout the tour and was very knowledgeable with each dish and drink and even gave us a bit of Lisbon history. You could never go wrong with this tour.

Heloise was a wonderful tour guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. She gave everyone recommendations based on where they we’re staying and what type of place they were looking for. The food and drinks were all very tasty, plenty to eat and drink and not a difficult walk. Highly recommended!!

Ruthy was absolutely fantastic! The price of this tour is extremely fair for the amazing food and cultural experience you get in return. We also really appreciated that all of the business we visited were family owned. This was the highlight of our Lisbon trip so far!

Great food!

Our guide Francisco was fantastic! He made the group comfortable and seemed interested in our backgrounds. He also had a great knowledge of the food and area and provided personal stories of his family related to the foods we experienced. All of our stops provided outstanding food and offered us the opportunity to experience the culture of Portugal and its cuisines. Plenty of wine to go around as well. Would highly recommend this tour.

Fabulous tour. Elouise was an amazing guide and the family owned places she brought us to were so quaint and the food and wine delicious. The group was small with really nice people. Even though it rained, we had a grand time highly recommend

Fantastic selection of food, really friendly and knowledgable guide (Elouise) and a lovely way to see Alfama area. This is great value for money, and would highly recommend.
Great to see you guys supporting the local community after what had been such a tough time.

Great tour with this organization. Our guide was Eloise, she made you feel very welcome. She was passionate, very knowledgeable and had a great personality. She shared history, details about the food and great tips for restaurants to try. We enjoyed ourselves very much with lots to eat, drink and a huge variety of items to try!
