Top ways to experience Casino Lisboa and nearby attractions

The area
Address
Neighborhood: Parque das Nações
This neighborhood was built up at the end of the 1990s mostly because of the Expo '98. The pavilions and structures that once were the home of all the Expo's attractions and exhibits are still culturally and artistically significant. In Parque das Nações you'll explore conference and concert pavilions, a shopping center, trendy restaurants and an enjoyable cable car ride you can't miss out on. On top of this, the amazing Lisbon Oceanarium (one of the most spectacular things you'll ever see in the city) will take your breath away: its respect and will to preserve natural wildlife is uncanny. Easily accessible by metro, bus or taxi from the city center, Parque das Nações is highly recommended for anyone who'll spend more than 3 days in the Portuguese capital.

A huge building, housing acres of empty space and three floors of slot machines.

Glum personnel and serious atmosphere.

I was looking for a poker game, and because their website so boldly advertised having multiple limits (with strange buy-in amounts), I went to check it out.

No luck though. No table poker, and the security guard assertively told me that they are a casino, not a poker room.

No WiFi, no chairs or lounge. What a waste of space.

If you like to spend your money in slot machines, maybe it's worth a visit. If you play poker, just forget it. They got nothing for us.

The Casino Lisboa provides a good assortment of slot machines throughout its 3 floors.
Furnishings are nice, and staff friendly.
It is the quietest casino we have experienced - most machines have volume set at minimum
Two negatives:
1. Most customers chain smoked, rendering ground floor very unpleasant for non-smoking players. First floor had non-smoking areas, but these were also inhabited by the chain smokers, with no apparent management of the non smoking rules by the staff members who walked the floors
2. Other players, if they wanted to play the slot you were on, stood right behind you, to almost pressurise you off of the machine - an approach we did not like and had not experienced elsewhere.

This huge casino would really deserve 4, but due to people smoking all around we decided 3. There are 3 floors, you can find slot machines on all the stairs. For the slots, there are less people on second floor. We had a meal at the restaurant (cannot remember the name) and found that the food was really bad and the price high compared to this self service place. All the casino we know offer good food at reasonable price (just to keep you staying at the casino of course). The Lisboa Casino should understand this. No ID is asked when you walk in.

No longer allows smoking (YAY)
great low pressure casino. I was allowed to stand by and linger with the BF played some actual table roulette, then we played video roulette together. We did a nice dinner at the restaurant first (nothing fancy but decent filling food for 18E)

First off, I wish I could give it zero stars.

Now, I've been to plenty of casinos--Las Vegas, Atlantic City, Philadelphia, Catskills, and even Macau. This one takes the cake for ripping you off.

I signed up for the rewards card, and was offered a promotion to spend $50 (HK$) and they'll give you $50 free on a table game.

Sure, not bad. I asked if roulette counted, and he said yes. So, I took my voucher and paid the $50 for $100.

But they didn't have roulette table games. The closest was the dice game, which didn't accept the free chips.

I decided to try blackjack, but the tables were all packed. Unfortunately, not everyone sitting was playing, but casino didn't ask them to move.

On top of that, the minimum at the table was $500 (HK$).

Anyone reading this: stay away from this horrible place. Spend your money at the Wynn or the Londoner.

We have done our share of travel to those places that claim are the pickpocket capitals of the world, (Barcelona, Rome, Buenos Airies) so no one was more surprised than me when l was taken at the Lisbon Casino.!!!
We literally popped in to check it out, as we were staying right across the street...
Now l always have a wallet and phone etc. Zipped inside a pocket inside a sling bag that fits under my arm, so it would be a real trick to get at that... But, Lisbon Casino demands that you check any bag at the desk at the front door, where pickpockets must stand and have a field day WATCHING WHICH POCKET IS NOW HOLDING YOUR WALLET OR PHONE.!!
10 seconds later a man hustled by me on the escalator and must have bumped me just enough to take my phone. I reported it immediately.
Now l am not making any accusations but EVERYONE that l spoke to from the security staff, to customer services, front door to the bag check, treated me with disregard as they had NEVER heard of anything like this happening at Casino Lisbon. Some security staff were almost snickering when told.
My question is whether they would have the same reaction to someone cheating at the casino? Would security tapes be reviewed then??
My advise is to give Casino Lisboa a pass, as YinYang01 said its a terribly smoky place, and has a complete lack of concern for patrons.

I had my wallet stolen near a bar at this casino. I was near the bar on the third floor when it happened. The security people told me that they have only one camera near the bar and that I was out of view. I repeat, this casino doesn't have enough cameras. Are you kidding me?!? It's a casino! I wonder if they were in on it. Thanks for that, it ruined my vacation.

Don't think your possessions are safe because you're in a casino. At Casino Lisboa, your possessions are NOT SAFE.

We have been to casinos in Las Vegas, Biloxi, and Atlantic City so I have something to compare with.

1. First, let's start off by saying that the atmoshpere in the casino was not inviting. No music, no bright colors. Staff is not talkative and not welcoming.

2. There was only one waitress on a pretty busy night and she never walked by us so we had to leave our roulette table twice to go get drinks.

3. There are no chairs at the roulette table so we had to stand all the time. Roulette croupier was arrogant and slow.

We have never left a casino with winnings but these atmosphere just made us leave as it was so bad and uninviting.

We do not recommend this casino to anyone!

Firstly never ever take the bus no:759 its suicide. Metro is the best option (if no strike on it ofcourse) Its seems far on the map but its not; 8 euros to the center by taxi for the return option.
Anyway details
Super ambiance, there was LIVE music, huge space to feel comfort BUT, so stupidly it was NOT forbidden to smole inside although its written it is, there was NO complementary drink or anything I guess and air pollution made me almost sleep.
Nice place but need some changes for the second time.
