It was a very interesting stop before going into the Sanctuary of Fatima. It was very moving to see the people going in on their knees then praying. I stayed just for a little bit because there were a lot of people that day. But...More
We spent time in Fatima on the way to Porto from Lisbon. The whole place was incredible. La Capela is a small building to the side of the church. There are services going on almost all the time. The story of the 3 children, where...More
Services are held periodically during the day for the faithful to attend. They are held in a number of languages. Check the schedule if interested. The chapel itself is mostly outdoors, with some glass walls. In the center is a beautiful rustic chapel around which...More

I am not but I found the whole idea of the miracle, etc. interesting and to see the sights that are related to the story was thought provoking. There was a service ongoing while I was there so could not get too close.
Capela Das Aparicoes is a very well designed structure in the place where supposedly the Virgin appeared to the three children. There is a staue of the Virgin, and this place worth a visit to have a moment to think and pray.
