Nelson with Fatima Experience is just exceptional!! We booked a 2 day tour of Fatima and surrounding area with Nelson as a group of 6 adults interested in visiting Fatima where Our Lady appeared to shepherd children.
Nelson was so wonderful to work with in planning the tour and was even more wonderful when we were with him for the 2 day tour! He picked us up at our hotel in Lisbon and along the drive north to Fatima, he told us abut the geography, culture and history of Portugal and Fatima. We had lunch at a fabulous restaurant owned by his in-laws and all of us enjoyed the food, atmosphere and courtesy shown to us. We also toured an olive oil factory. Nelson knew we wanted a religious perspective of Fatima and he tailored our tour toward that. We visited Aljustrel, the village and home of the three shepherd children Mary appeared to, and then visited Fatima, including the Sanctuary, Chapel of Appartitions, Our Lady of the Rosary Basilica and Most Holy Trinity Basilica. We were able to attend Mass at the Basilica and then returned to Fatima that evening for an international Rosary and candlelight procession which was quite inspiring. The next day, Nelson took us back to Lisbon with stops along the way at the Monastery of Batalha, the town of Nazare along the coast, and the walled village of Obidios.
Nelson personalized this tour for us, and was a delight to be with and the six adults in our group all thought this tour with Nelson was the highlight of our travels through Portugal! He was prompt, courteous, professional, knowledgeable about Fatima and Portugal history and culture, and was so very personable. His command of English was excellent. We truly would not have changed one bit of the fabulous tour he planned for our group.
