If you visited Casa de Lucia, I'm pretty sure you will have to visit Francisco and Jacinta's humble home is not far away from Lucia's home. The sweet home of Francisco and Jacinta was a nice place to visit. I can't imagine how humble they might have been in the past. It just gave me a feeling of a time of innocence and holiness for the two children to be chosen by the BVM. Stop by and check out this place.

To see the home of Jacinta and Francisco was incredible. What was particularly shocking was that we drove our car to a nearby parking lot location, walked through the neighborhood and eventually into their home since the front door was open, just like we were family members. No security, no tickets and no escorts. It made it so much more personal.

We get to reach these homes of Jacinta and Francisco by a small toy train that leaves every 20 mins from rye sanctuary of Fatima. It's a nice ride and one gets a glimpse of this beautiful village of Fatima.
The homes have been maintained in the manner in which they existed then. Very calm place and small narrow road along the houses. As usual you get plenty of souvenir shops and they seem to be cheaper than the shops next to sanctuary.
A must visit when you go to Fatima

Visiting those small houses where the 3 little shepherds lived is like going back to 1917 with a time machine. The humble homes are very well conserved. There are the old fireplace and the kitchen and the beds where the 3 little shepherds were born. The visit is free. You can get there by car.

You really get a "feel" of how these simple, prayerful people lived and worked. Humbling experience. The home is well preserved with historic furnishings. Made us wonder how these innocent children coped with their unwanted fame when the world came knocking at their door seeking answers!

To be in that home and see the simple lifestyle they lived is a humbling experience. We have so much today compared to how they lived

It was so endearing to visit the homes of the little shepherds, it was a lovely picturesque town. The visit put the reality of their humble lives at the time of Our Lady’s appearance in their lives, their willingness to suffer so poor sinners! A must see to further understand Fatima.

Hello can we use our car to drive to Casa de Francisco and Jacinta
Written October 26, 2018
I agree with the previous answers - you can do it, but drive carefully - it's narrow and there are always many people walking in the roads!

Will visit Fatima October 16-17. Wondering location of Casa De Francisco & Jacinta Marto?
Written August 21, 2018
It's a lovely location and it's very popular. You can take a tour, or walk there, or take the little train. Well worth doing, whatever method of travel you choose!

How do you get to the children house from the sanctuary? Is there public transportation or is it walking distance? Thank you
Written August 27, 2017
Yes, if your physically fit it is possible to walk. There is a small train available, which takes you all around the area. Hope this is of help.
Written August 27, 2017
We did see people in wheelchairs, but...the doors in the houses are narrow as are the roads!
