The main question about every beach is a free wc nearby because the ocean is quite cold sometimes. And this beach has it along with the shower (you can leave tips for the maintenance). Also there's another wc on your right on the train station.
The beach itself is pretty small but there's enough space for the weekend in June (not sure about August)

Just about 45 minutes from Lisbon via train, is the resort town of Cascais. We spent a couple of hours at this beautiful beach amidst the unique rock formations. Wonderful! It's easy to get to and well worth a day trip from Lisbon.

I absolutely love this beach. This is my childhood beach.
You can have a great time by yourself or with kids.
You have a quieter side of the beach or the busiest side. We always stay near the big rock, where you can explore the sea life and see the most beautiful creatures.
The water most of the time is very cold but refreshes your soul 😉

Great beach, a bit crowded, great amenities right there, train stop as well. Across the street from the Casino. Drink wine at sunset sitting beachside cafe. Perfect

This was my first time going to a beach and it was a great experience coming here. I didn't know what to expect, but I got the concept behind beaches and why people loved it.
The water was cold and the people were really happy and present.

Tamariz beach is a nice beach on the coast of Cascais. Along the train line of Lisbon-Cascais there are a few small sandy beaches surrounded by natural rocks: Tamariz is one of them. It's convenient because the train stops there, there are cafes and restaurants, along with a promenade side walk that leads to Cascais. There are sun beds for rent along with sun-shade umbrella (12.50 euros for 2) but no drinks&food service - you have to get up and get service at the restaurants in the promenade. On the left hand side there's a natural pool made of rocks and concrete blocks that can be appealing for those that don't like sand.

The beach along the coast of Estoril are clean with plenty of sun beds and parasols available to rent.
Some of the cafe/restaurants are however are in dire need of renovation as they looked ‘run down’.
Expect to pay more for drinks here than even Cascais. We paid €11 for two coffees!

We began our short visit in Estoril at his beach before moving along the beach promenade to Cascais. Both the beach and the water were very clean and even though there were children around it was calm and inviting. It was only steps from the train station for those coming out to the coast from Lisbon. ( take the train from Caie do Sodre)
It is possible to rent parasols and sunbeds and there are changing rooms and showers as well as clean public toilets facilities. It is posdible to buy food and snacks close to the beaches and there is even a seawater swimming poolfor those sho feel that the ocean is far too cold forbtheir liking (20 degrees in August)
After spending some time soaking in the rays we began our 3 km walk alongside the ocean to the old village of Cascais which was a high point during our visit to Lisbon.

The sand is so fine but dense that the water appears murky, but it is ok. Good for family as it is shallow. Good for teenagers as there is high jumping off the quayside. They also have a walled pool that stays full after low tide for a while, but is best when tide returns through warm sand. Nice and safe.
Good toilets very clean and free.
Music pumps from bars. But of a variable feel.

Hi there,
We are coming to Tamariz in Early September. How early do you suggest getting to beach to hire 8 sun lounges/4 Umbrellas. Many thanks in advance.
Written August 3, 2024
How much we will pay for umbrella and 2 sunbeds and which caffe you reccommend? Thanks!
Written August 6, 2019
If you go to the furthest away beach with the basic loungers (not the posh ones) it's around £15 euros and the best cafe is Absurdio next to this beach. Ask Angelo on the beach!

I’m looking to come in June with a group of 10. We hope to rent loungers in a nice area of Tamariz beach with waiter service. We would also need towels. Are there places in Tamariz like this and what is the name?
Written January 26, 2019
The sandy beach itself has loungers, and on the prom are smashing shaded areas with waiter service. If you don`t bring towels yourself, you can buy them cheaply nearby at kiosks. Most folk dry off quickly in the sun, after all it is June when you are coming

Si, por supuesto. Unos cuartos de baños muy amplios y el agua con mucha presión

Quantos Kms exatos, não sei. Só sei que é muito prazeroso o passeio em dias de sol.

Hi!
I am going to visit Tamariz in middle of August.
1)How much is it cost two beds and umbrella per day in this time of year?
2)Are there trees\palm on the beach?
3)Is it windy in August? Is it possible to use own umbrella?
Written March 14, 2017
two beds and umbrella cost 15€/day. we were there in juni 2017. there are palm trees on the beach. it is very nice, big and beautiful beach. there were windy, that's true.. but i don't know if you go in August..
you can also use your own umbrella. many people had own umbrella too.. it is your choice.

Hello- I will be travelling to this area in late November...any suggestions for what type of clothing to pack?
I see the water will be very cold- perhaps just a quick dip but, does that mean I can wear short sleeves & a bathing suit or do I need layers?
Written September 19, 2015
Temperature will likely be between 12Cº and 19Cº, not beach weather, with a bit of luck there will be no rain and some nice sunny winter days. You need warm clothing.
Enjoy your holiday, you will just love Cascais
