One of the most enjoyable rounds my wife and I have played. Anywhere in the world. A charming, old fashioned clubhouse provided a warm welcome and an excellent breakfast on arrival. As the tee wasn't busy the Starter said we could set off whenever we wished, and so started one of the most interesting 3 1/2 hours for a long... More

Really nice course with interesting layout of holes and in overall good condition. Don't go by the length of the course on the card as it seems to play much longer (not sure whether this was due to soft ground conditions or the wind). Unknown to us it was unfortunately greens week the week prior to our visit and the... More

Played this course for the second time and it didn't disappoint. This is a traditional course that crosses a main road. We used trolleys and on occasions it was hard work but made better by the fact that we were given a lift in a buggy from the 16th to the 17th hole. Staff were very welcoming and the course... More

Nice golf course - not too long. Fairways mostly open and wide. Greens in good condition. Clubhouse bar and restaurant good and service was excellent. Overall, worth playing. Needs some money spent on it to freshen it up a bit.

This is a lovely traditional course, the second oldest in Portugal and a really pleasant change from vast fairways and lakes. It is a neat and tight course, not particularly long, fairly hilly and greens are lightening fast. The bar is reasonably priced with plenty of seating both inside and out. The professional shop is tired and a bit expensive... More

Played in the men's senior open in April 2016 and play off 2 handicap. Off the white tees this is a very tough course - with trouble in play both sides of quite narrow fairways on just about every hole. The greens are REALLY tough - if you are short sided or above the hole then it can be like... More

A good course challenging in places. Plenty of places to loose your ball. Facilities a bit basic with little or no golf shop. Greens were fast but well kept. TIP If you want a buggy you need to book in advance

A 5 &1/4 hour round does not help but I was really disappointed that the course was in such poor shape. The design isn't really Portuguese Open standard & the maintenance certainly isn't. The members there really are slow players; we tee'd off at 8.45am and there were members in 3s and 4s ahead. They took over 5 hours on... More

Very friendly staff but the course looks like it needs investment and it looks very worn in many places. Also €38 euros for a very dated buggy which only just managed to get round!! It has an association with the hotel but doesn't reflect the qualities of the hotel Palacio Estoril.
