It is a pity that a wonderful golf course has the poorest management I have never seen. The tees are in a very poor and awful condition. Fairways below average and only greens are acceptable. The buggies lost the charge in the middle of the game and is needed to call for a new one (incredible), but normal when they are a model with more than 15 years. Additionally the restaurant service is very poor. Due to all this reasons I really recommend the new owners to develop a huge restructuring in the management team. With a good management you are able to have a Great Golf Course

Course has a nice set up with some lovely holes, unfortunately the condition was not particularly good compared to the other courses played in the area. Challenging enough with good greens considering the recent hot spell but some of the tees were on terrible condition and really let the course down. Enjoyable track that could do with some TLC.

We had high hopes of this one and it definitely has potential and I did enjoy my round, but the condition of the course just wasn't good enough. If it was not ranked so highly in Portugal's top 100 courses then I might be less bothered by this, but some of the fairways were really rough. Some bunkers were great but others had grass growing in them. The greens were absolutely fine. To give you an idea, it looked like a club that was running out of money and was putting everything they could into the greens and doing the bare minimum to maintain the rest. The layout is good and it is challenging and perfectly enjoyable, but don't believe the ranking position and lower your expectations accordingly.

From our hotel in Estoril it took us 30 minutes to drive to Belas (highway with more or less 2 Euros toll). The Belas GC is situated in a very new, large, nice and secluded housing estate (security at the entrance gate). Plenty of parking. Friendly lady at the proshop. Clubhouse looks clean and inviting. Course was busy, so we were told to tee off at hole 10... we played the back 9 which were fun to play (a lot of nice looking houses around the course and pretty views of the Sintra mountains). Unfortunatly heavy rain and stormy weather started when we wanted to play the front 9 holes and we had to quit our round. We came wet soaked to the proshop and the friendly employee told us she would try to mail us a 9-hole voucher for the buggy (meanwhile we got the voucher, this attitude shows that the Belas GC is serious and has customer care!). Looking forward to play 18 holes on our next trip to this region.
