We decided to have a leisurely day on the beach at Cascais after a busy and long day of walking around Sintra. It was mid February, we'd left storms and cold temperatures back in the UK and we were swimming in the sea and lying on the beach in 20°c! It was just wonderful! The beach is very clean, there are bars and ice cream shops close by and we stayed to watch the beautiful sunset before walking along the beach to the next stop along from Cascais that you can get to from a small underpass just off the beach. We had such a relaxing day surrounded by lovely scenery.

Have visited here regularly for a number of years and this is still the best beach in Cascais. Sun chairs are a bit more pricey than other beaches (£22 for two) but the prime location and the restaurants are worth it. Both Brisa Bar and Duche Bar are great spots for a true Portugeuse beach lunch

This beach is full of life. There's an inflatable trampoline, and slide installed out in the sea. There are paddle boards, bike boats for rent. We rented a hut with 2 sun chairs. Maximum people in one hut is 4. I paid around 24 Euro.

This beach was in the perfect position. It wasn’t far to walk from the station, or the town. We paid 30 euro for three chairs and a sun umbrella. It was very lush. There were loads of bars/restaurants located at the edge of the beach. There wre also some public toilets, which were charged but no one seemed to be paying attention to it! The water is freezing, but you still have to go in! There were a few street sellers walking the beach which did become a little bit annoying.
