About
Surf School in Cascais, very close to Lisbon City/Airport with safe and fun lessons for all levels and ages. We teach in Carcavelos or Guincho beach depending on the ocean conditions. Our services are group Lessons, private lessons, surf gear rentals and also Surf Camps. We have a experience and dynamic team that will love to share our passion for surfing with you! We are open all year round!

It was my first time surfing and I had an amazing experience with Salty Souls. The instructors were all very nice and really good. There were always a few of them with us in the water to guide us and help us out. After just a few lessons both myself and the people with me were able to notice significant improvements. The equipment provided was also really high quality and the wet suits were able to keep us warm for the whole lesson even in the cold ocean water. Both adults like myself and kids could take part in the lesson and have a good time with qualified staff. I would highly suggest this experience and this school to anyone interested in trying surfing out.

We took a 2 hour morning lesson with these guys and worth every penny.
Andre was in contact and made it very easy and helpful from booking to the lesson.
Big mention to the instructor Riri from Córdoba (I hope I spelt her name correctly apologies if not!) who was excellent with my 10 year old daughter - she had a great time.
We called other companies in cascais who were actually quite unfriendly and tried to push us into private lessons instead of groups (all about the dollars instead of customer service obviously) but we got lucky and found Andre and salty souls -
By the way Guincho beach is stunning and couldn’t of asked for a better spot to take the lesson - we will be back!

Ricardo was an exceptional teacher. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience, got to learn the techniques and felt safe at the same time. Although this was my first time surfing I felt that Ricardo really knew his stuff. I would recommend without hesitation.

Salty souls is more than a surf school, its almost a family. :) I was staying with them for a period of 5 months, while I lived in Lisbon and I enjoyed every single lesson.
There are lots of students coming again, because they enjoy the lessons and the very good organization of the school. So you make lots of nice surf friends, too!
But most important: you have an awsome stuff, making fun with you, motivating the students, introducing them properly to all safety advices and teaching proper technique, so that almost everybody I saw, was able to stand up on the first surf lesson and enjoy the waves to the fullest!
Amazing experience, I will miss it. :)

Great experience with André and the team. We really enjoyed the course, thanks to their kindness and great advice. We quickly achieved to stand on the board and surf the waves thanks to their great expertise. A place to go to!

If you’re looking for a surf school in Portugal, this is it!! I have had a couple of surf lessons in my life, but the ones with Salty Souls are, without a doubt, THE ABSOLUTE BEST! Ricardo is not just an incredible patient and motivating instructor, but also the definition of good vibes. I had two lessons with him so far, each time in a group of 3, and somehow he manages to make it feel like a personal lesson by adapting to each of our levels. Can't recommend enough! See you soon guys :)

the best surfing experience ever!! Had beginner level instruction, but also catered to having fun and ultimately enjoying time out on the water. We were a group of 7 and we each felt like we were given a chance to get help from the instructors while laughing and enjoying ourselves! The instructors are super nice and funny but also gave us great instruction for it being our first time!

We had such an incredible surfing experience in Portugal. Our instructor Andre took a lot of effort to teach and support us as beginners. Despite being a bigger group they made sure they had enough instructors for us, which made it easier to learn. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to surf in Portugal.

Our family had a lovely time learning how to surf. The instructors were very knowledgeable and patient as we learned. We had a delay in our time slot due to lost luggage and they were able to reschedule us and fit us in. All the instructors were very nice and they did a fantastic job!

My daughter and her cousins really enjoyed their surf lessons in Cascais. Very nice welcome, the team was friendly and great atmosphere. Quite easy to understand the main rules and they succeeded to have some good slide on the waves.
