Went on a non sunny day and was amazed at the fallen rock cliffs and formations of several colours. Was able to take photographs from all angles with no sun shining in the lens.
You have to approach along the main road (as you would in a car) where you can park in the angled parking bays (which I think are chargeable). Just by the lighthouse is a rough path a few metres long to the cliff edge. This path is only about 100mtrs long, it gives out at a low wall where a distinguishable path leads you to the very edge! Beware! Good photos to be had from here, I was the only one there apart from a few rock climbers already enjoying their sport! Well worth a visit although a lack of refreshments forces you to go inland along R. de Torre turning right by the sign for the Pestana Hotel to the wonderful Sacolinha! (See separate review).

One of the important lighthouses at the entrance to the river estuary, the entrance to the city and to Lisboa. It is picturesque and was once very strategic and important.

The approach is easy (some steps), parking is close, routes are quite sheltered from the wind (so be careful with sun cream)! Routes are well labelled and include grades. Some had notes on saying not to climb them, not sure why.

A perfect stopping-off point for interesting architecture (the lighthouse) and sweeping views (the ocean).

Although I wandered in to see this today, I'm not sure that it's open to the public. There was nobody else around. There was no obvious information about it that I can relay and I'd have posted a pic here were that possible...

One of the many lighthouses located along the coast, a pleasant building, the tower is particular, continuing along the road you can notice it from afar.
