We did not expect to see this seawater pool here. In England, they are called a Lido, and probably there are only one or two left now. It is a way of going in the sea for a swim and being safe at the same time. No waves to knock you over, just a good safe place to cool off
Have visited this seawater pool right on the beach for 14 years. Great location and love how fish become trapped once the tide goes out. Very popular and safe place for families with children.
The pool area seemed pretty clean and somewhere where you would feel comfortable going with the children. There are steps down into the water which can be a bit slippery i guess so take care with those. There is what only can be described a giant sunbed at the top of the stairs…
It worths a bath! Although the day I went it was not full of water, it’s just great to refresh from the sun.
Small but manageable and easy to access from the Promenade, which itself has bathrooms and plenty of places for refreshment.
