Very soulful beach, we went there purposefully, our friend persuaded to call there. We were very pleased with the beach, despite the strong Atlantic wind and the cold ocean. In the genre of my whims, I climbed my feet into the ocean, which was cold, but I could swim, I forgot my shorts for swimming in the hotel room. To say beautifully, to say nothing. We sat very well and rested there.

This is bit of a tricky beach to get to from the main road. This is an average beach on the way to Sintra.

We were staying at Fortaleza do Guincho & our room actually overlooked Cresmina beach which was spectacular . The beach looked too wild for swimming but it’s fabulous for a walk along the shore to be wind blown by the sea mist . The beach is surrounded by cliffs & sand dunes however there is a pathway & ramp to the beach. There are numerous restaurants along the roadside & a few hotels if looking for somewhere to eat. Our favourite was Porto Santa Maria. Its easily reached by bus from Cascais or its a very picturesque walk or cycle along the boardwalk.
