Nice Statues
Feb 2020 • Solo
Nice statues on the bridge in central Aveiro depicting the 2 main historic trades in the town, fishermen and salt traders. When I was there they were getting a make over with the artist touching them up and cleaning them.
Nice to see when you are passing and the bridge itself is quite picturesque over the canals.

These Statues depict the main trades and industries in Aveiro. They are located in the center of the city on the main bridge of the city where the maleceiros are located. This is a cant miss when you are there.

Jul 2017 • Couples
These two bronze statues are located on a busy bridge over the main canal and show two traditional trades of Aveiro, fishing and salt harvesting.

Aveiro Charm
May 2017 • Couples
While walking along the riverbank you should cross the bridge to see all the beauty of this town. On the bridge are two bronze sculptures of a "Fisherman" and "fisherwomen". Both are beautiful and great to take a picture with Them.

Nice Statue in a perfect spot.
Oct 2016 • Couples
A nice statue in one of the best places in Aveiro, the views around the spot are great and you will have lots of photo opportunities. The statue itself its nothing special and ressemblence to a common aveiro character that related to the fisherman-salt mines workers of the area. You will probably see this statue more than once since its in the middle of a busy touristic road.

Statues symbolic of the past in Aveiro, it's culture and tradition.
Oct 2016 • Couples
These four statues guard the balustrades of the main bridge in Aveiro old town and show the tradespeople of Aveiro's past. Whilst interesting, they are difficult to get to see closely at most times as they are on the busy roundabout with people and cars restricting access and views. Week days are better to have a little time to absorb them and the area they are in - but be careful of both human and motor traffic!

Walking trip in the city if Aveiro.
Sep 2016 • Solo
About this four well preserved statues you can see on the bridge at the “Praça Humberto Delgado”, is no doubt about that they are the symbol of the city of Aveiro, they are reflecting some of the ancient professions as the marnoto, a salineira, and o fogueteiro e a parceira do ramo. To start your visit of the city of Aveiro, you should park your car on this location in the underground garage of the “Forum”, from here you can visit by walking all the places of historical interest.
