During my stay on Sao Miguel Island I did a full day tour & walk with Azores4Travel and it was the best day tour & nicest hike I did on the island. Eleutério showed us the North East side of the island, we did an amazing hike ´Ribeira do Faial da Terra´ through forests and with some waterfalls and we also had time to enjoy the thermal pools in Furnas on the way back.

What I really like about Azores4Travel is the very personal service and flexibility. Eleutério knows his home island very well and gives a professional service as a guide with interesting facts and recommendations about the island, but at the same time is very personal and you can sense his own passion for the island, nature and hiking. This gave me a completely different experience than the ´standard tours´, where guides are ´just doing their jobs´.

In my opinion, this tour was really the best! You feel as a friend rather than a customer and if you like to do something different than the usual, Eleutério knows all the ´off the beaten track´ secrets for amazing hiking around the island. In addition, they also do ´the standard tours´, so I can really recommend to book all your tours with this company for a more than complete Sao Miguel experience!

Highly recommended and I hope to be back one day.

Had a three day island tour with Eleutério and we absolutely loved every single aspect of it. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and really knew how to organize the itinerary around the constantly changing weather patterns and limited time we did have to ensure we maximized everything we saw. Could not have been more delighted to have chosen him for our tour guide during our visit.

The only drawback is, of course, that we wish we had even more time in the Azores. There's so much to see that three days is honestly not enough (even just for Sao Miguel).

His vehicle seats six (or more?) therefore you can have an entire family in there as well. Kid friendly and elderly accommodating for those with somewhat limited mobility.

Want to fall in love with pristine nature, incredible shorelines and vistas, backroad views of crater lakes, beautiful architecture, and culture in the Azores - in just a few hours? Take a tour with Eduardo, who works with Greenzone Tours. His knowledge, sense of humor, and eagerness to help his guests learn about and enjoy his country are hallmarks of his personalized service. He made our one day on Sao Miguel an unforgettable experience! He is committed to excellence and showcases examples of his country’s similar commitment to preserving their exquisite environment and culture. We just wish we had been able to spend more time with him as our guide.

We did this activity on our first night. It was a great way to get a sense of the island and recommendations from a native. We were a party of 4 joined by two from Finland. From start to finish Eleuterio provided insights, facts and tidbits about The Azores, Sao Miguel and each stop that we made. He added a lot of nice personal touches to the dinner which enriched the experience. The thermal springs were fine. Soaking in hot pools of water with strangers isn't one of my favorite things to do. Definitely wear a dark swimsuit as the iron in the water does stain things orange. During the last stop, Eleuterio also goes above and beyond with a nice offering for the night. Thanks for a great tour.

Arranged this tour prior to our cruise ship arriving in Ponta Delgado. There is a reason that this company is highly rated. Our guide was excellent, the vehicle very comfortable and the island is rich in history and scenery. The lunch of stew, the famous Furnas Cozido was excellent. All in all great value for the money, and for those concerned with getting bak to the ship on time, our guide had us at the dock exactly one minute before the time he predicted he would get us back and with ample time to still do some looking around the shops near the port. I highly recommend this company.

We did 3 day tours with Eleuterio. Azores is breathtaking, magical, incredible and we can keep adding as much as descriptive words as possible. The main reason for us to have enjoyed and understand Azores is Eleuterio. He was an outstanding guide and a very nice human being. He has an in depth knowledge about his island and happily shared it with us. He took us to many places gave us our time to enjoy the place by ourselves. The tours were neither rushed nor slow. we went with 2 kids aged 6 and 2. He helped us in carrying our little one at many places which is highly appreciable. Weather in Azores is unpredictable and he managed our days perfectly in accordance with the weather. Azores is magical and when seen through the prism of Eleuterio becomes a fantasy land.

Eleuterio was excellent. He arrived 10 minutes early at our hotel and had no problem waiting for us. His English is excellent. My girlfriend and I had no problems understanding him. His van was clean and comfortable. On the way there he had us both sit up front with him so he could give us a history of the Island and its culture. His knowledge of the formation of the earth, continents, island and the thermo waters made me question if he was a geologist. He is not, but it is a passion of his and it showed. He took us to where the food is cooked in the earth. We saw the folks lower the pots into the holes. It was really cool. Afterwards, we went to an awesome local restaurant and had that earth cooked food. It was absolutely delicious. He brought wine and pineapple from his family's plantation for us to have. After dinner he took us to the thermo baths. He waited in the van for us and pretty much gave us as much time as we needed. It was a beautiful night and we really enjoyed ourselves. After the baths he took us to a road that had several fountains of natural mineral water. Each fountain had a noticeably different amount of mineral in the water. Eleuterio pulled out a couple of glasses and some local gin. We had gin with natural mineral water. It was a really nice way to end our tour. Eleuterio really put many personal touches into our tour. He didn't have any alcohol and was very professional. My girlfriend and I highly recommend this tour. Cheers!

This was the highlight of our trip to The Azores! Eleutério was an incredible guide. He is truly passionate about The Azores and its culture, which added to an already amazing experience. Learning about how the food can be cooked underground due to the heat from the active volcano followed by eating a traditional Portuguese stew that was cooked this way was very cool. Eleutério also took the time to allow us to taste the various mineral waters and educated us on its history and infrastructure. So fascinating. We felt that he truly enjoys what he does and this was apparent throughout the night. The entire evening was absolutely perfect. Thank you Eleutério! Until our next Azores trip!

This was an incredible experience! Eleuterio was accommodating, very knowledgeable about the island, and found our way to the stunning thermal pools. When my husband and I signed up, we thought we'd just enjoy some hot springs, but Eleuterio gave us a much richer experience. He explained the history of the island, the natural evolution of the geothermal springs, and was very personable throughout our trip. He appears to be an outdoor enthusiast, which is expected given his love for Sao Miguel, so he was able to enlighten us on the different geographical aspects of the island. We enjoyed delicious cozido, and what's more, we had a chance to see where it was being made! For first-time travelers wondering about transportation, Eleuterio picked us up at the airport right when we landed and took us to our Airbnb, which made our logistics so much simpler. Whether you're looking for outdoor adventure, a relaxing night, or something really unique, we highly recommend taking this trip and choosing Eleuterio as your guide.
