With a dive group up to 6 divers you will get the best chance to enjoy your dives guided by marine biologists/dive leader. With a long experience with tourism and our staff is all the time getting in new training to give you all that you need. As a PADI DIVE RESORT, SSI Dive Center and AQUALUNG PARTNER CENTER we will give you the best support in education materials and scuba equipment. Our company gives also support to Environmental Projects and we have our how local Environmental Education Project called "Jelly Fish Project" for which we donate 2% of our annual profit.

Overall a very enjoyable experience diving with best spot.
They were well organised with probably the best set up in the marina of ponta delgada s.Miguel. They had a big team of dive intructors, dive masters and interns in training that helped out. On our first day we felt a bit rushed getting all our kit and paying for the dives, (recommend turning up early). Quite quickly though we realised the team were very friendly and personable once we got to know them.
We were relatively inexperienced divers at between 20-30 dives each before Diving with best spot but had our advanced diving qualification with SSI (we were glad as meant we had access to a greater variety of the more interesting dives).
We did total of 12 dives over 6 days, got to see a variety of life, their local wreck (dori) and an interesting array of arches and rock formations.
They had 2 boats and multiple instructors, wit normally about a 3:1 ratio client:guide. They were well organised and made sure people did not repeat dives in the same location and seemed to arrange groups according to ability/ air consumption.
Equipment was maintained to a good standard, they offered 7mm suits with under layers, they did not offer drysuits.
We would highly recommend this fun and professional dive school and look forward to returning for more dives.

It was a pleasur to dive with you.Very friendly and all in all a great day. We felt comfortable at all...really thanks for the local Restaurant recommendation, it was so delicious... We would recommend this dive Center to all who are in Ponta Delgada

The highlight of my trip to the Azores!
I visited Best Spot in July, soon after the Azores opened to international travel. Even as a solo diver they were kind enough to work with my preferences to help me book a full day offshore trip. My rented equipment was well-maintained and the RHIB we used very new. Suzi was very professional throughout and an expert in making you feel comfortable both in and out of the water.
Would recommend to anyone coming to Sao Miguel for diving - had an amazing experience here.

Visited this great dive centre located right in the harbour at Ponta Delgada. We had six dives and each was from the side of a Rhib.
The staff were brilliant, looked after all the divers, loading the boat and assisting everyone to get rigged up.
Saw no end of interesting sea life including barracuda, morays, trigger fish and large shoals of palegics.
Thoroughly recommend this excellent centre.

I spent one week with Best Spot to train for my Rescue Diver training And my Emergency First Response course, and then to enjoy around 10 dives with them. I highly recommend the dive center: equipment in perfect conditions, safety in first priority, Best spot makes sure the divers go to different dive spots and makes everything possible for you to enjoy your time there ! We saw a lot of different marine species there, and the visibility underwater was impressive. And of course, Bruno’s jokes are a must !! I will come back !

Discovering the world of diving with them has been a before and after in my life. From the first moment I felt comfortable and safe, her patience, her desire to teach, to show the marine world to others and her passion for diving make the difference. All the members of the Best Spot team are enormous professionals as well as incredible and close people.

I’ve completed my open waters program with best spot Azores and I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a first time experience of scuba dive.
Since the day I arrived at the school I felt a great support from every staff member. They focus on every technical detail and prepare every student with the best tools to be comfort in the sea.
To conclude, I would like to mention that Bruno and Suzi were the highlight of my trip due to their experience in the sea and connection with the student. Do not doubt in choosing this school for learning scuba dive!

I completed my open water diving certification here and it was amazing! I really have no complaints. The instructors are all knowledgeable, flexible, make you feel comfortable navigating all the gear and being underwater. They’re great at scheduling around your preferences and make sure you’re able to complete the course at your own rate. They have great knowledge about the Açores and the best dives all around. The Dori and Espelho dive were absolutely stunning. Would highly recommend choosing Best Spot!

We did our advanced open water course with Best spot: deep + navigation, drift diving, wreck and search and recovery. They have a quite big team of instructors and divemasters who speak english, portuguese and spanish and a mascot cat Oscar, who makes the surface intervals more entertaining :P The whole team is very friendly and easy going and we were very satisfied with the attention they gave to each student. We felt like they took the courses seriously and not just as fun dives, all the dives were great boat dives and the navigation and search and recovery were specially interesting with purposeful bad visibility scenarios which made it way more challenging. All the dives were still super beautiful specially the Dori wreck with more than 100m visibility! Would definitely come back and totally recommend Best spot :) Muito obrigada

We booked a few regular dives and an offshore dive (mobula point) at BestSpot. Very helpful crew, solid equipment and fair pricing. Would recommend the Manta Point dive- almost guaranteed to see mobila rays (beautiful), and we even saw a huge whaleshark (very lucky though - we went in August).
The Dori wreck is nice as well for those into wreck diving - good visibility.

I had a 5mm in september (my own).. No problem. The dive centers do all have 7mm. Often with a thin vest underneath. Best way to know this is to ask the dive center. They can give you the best advice, they have local knowledge an know the weather and water conditions the bes.

1-What is the average water temp at the end of October?
2- Do you rent wetsuits along with the dive equipment?

HI Leslie, I recently returned, be prepared for quite chilly water. I took 5mm but added 2mm vests which they offer at the centre. However, they have 7mm suits for hire.No point taking risk with last minute dive/flight - I went whale watching instead and was not disappointed! Say hello to Suzi and Bruno from me, Allan
