Had a couple of fantastic trips with Evaristo from BigBlue Adventures. We went on the Sete Cidades Hike and the Gorreana tea plantation hike and tour. On both hikes, Andre provided us with so much interesting information about Azorean history, the flora and fauna and Portuguese culture in general. Andre was an excellent guide and accomplished speaker of English. Would definitely recommend BigBlue Adventures for any of your adventures!

Couple of seniors who couldn't do all the hiking and physical activities of these beautiful islands but couldn't have had a better time making use of private tours with Big Blue Adventures tours with Wilson Barboza Silva as our driver. Our wish was his command as he took us to so many of the island's attractions, eateries and shared his knowledge of the history of the island. Most tours were just the two of us so we didn't have to deal with the vagaries of large tour groups. We felt very safe and comfortable with Wilson's driving on the winding, steep mountainous roads. This trip was the best travel experience we have ever had.

BigBlue Adventures have their office in my hotel so I signed up for a tour and have now done another as they were so good. The guides treat you like family and obviously love the work they do and this stunning island. The tours took me to great lookouts and local businesses as well included good substantial lunches both days. Can't recommend them enough!

We did the one day tour of the Seven Cities and Fire Lagoon. Our guide was Manuel, who is extremely knowledgeable of the history of the Azores and the island of Sao Miguel. We had a very long day visiting many places and thoroughly enjoyed it all and the professionalism of Manuel.

I was in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel Island in January 2014 with a friend of mine for 5 days and we had 3 half days tours with Evaristo & Daniela.
They are very professional people, friendly, flexible to our needs,always on time, it was a perfect way to visit the island and we really enjoyed.
Evaristo knows a lot about the plants of the island, I would recommend the tour with the visit to the botanical garden Terra Nostra, one of the most beautiful garden I ever seen.
Another day we had a nice hiking tour to Sete Cidades to the lakes, the village it was not too hard and we really appreciate the long walk.
I will recommend their tours to our friends that will visits Sao Miguel in the future.
They are very professional people, friendly, flexible to our needs,always on time, it was a perfect way to visit the island and we really enjoyed.

We booked a tour with Green Zone tours, but were assigned to Evaristo of Big Blue tours. Only 4 guests total in a van made for a comfortable ride with plenty of room. The tour of the island was very good, even though the weather was drizzly and somewhat foggy. Much better than the bus tour offered by the cruise ship.

The plantation is beautiful and the information regarding the process is educational. However, the experience only took around 15 minutes. There was no speaker or guide and the equipment was not running when we were there.

The four of us scheduled this tour for a unique experience And it did not disappoint. We arrived at Ponta Delgada on a cruise ship We were assured that time to return to the ship would be closely monitored and it was. The day started with a trip to the market, then tour thru some of the islands treasures in a comfortable van. Now the fun part The fish and vegetables were cut up and we drove to place our pot in a hole in the geothermal area. We then continued our tour and enjoyed time at the lovely thermal pool. Back to the pot and then on to the unveiling of the stew at a relaxing beautiful lodge
Oh, my the stew was marvelous No fishy taste at all. Just well blended fresh ingredients well cooked.
We are finishing up a 15 day cruise and 5 days in Iceland. We are still talking excitedly about our day with Big Blue Adventures.
We felt safe, cared for, and special during the tour All of our questions were answered and we learned so much about the island.
3 of our group had been to the Azores before. Two were experiencing their first trip The tour was perfectly suited for all five of us
We cannot wait to visit again and book more adventures with this experienced family tour group that just wants you to see and feel what they do about their land.

We had an amazing day going from to many beautiful places all-throughout Sao Miguel. The tour was small (only 4 total, including the two of us) and we learned more and more about the Azores at every turn. Stopped at a few small shops along the way and an amazing lunch in Sete Citades!

Hello. We are arriving by cruise ship on Wed. 25 of Sept. We would like a private tour for four. We'd like to see the two crater lakes and swin in the thermal baths. We'd also like to have a traditinoal Azorean meal. Our Celebrity cruise ship docks at 12 noon and we must return by 8:00pm. Could you accommodate us at these times?

We are hereby to inform you that on the 3rd May, this tour is no longer available. In alternative, we have a full day tour going to Sete Cidades and Lagoa do Fogo and we have just one place left. Nevertheless, the pick up for this tour, if you are coming on a cruise ship, will be at the lower deck level on the cruise port around 8h30am.
