We booked the whale watching, swimming with dolphins, 2 hikes (Lago de Fogo and Cete Citades) with Futurismo. Despite issues with the weather which of course tour operators have no control of, everything went without problems and we thought Futurismo and their staff did a great job overall. The hikes were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed swimming with dolphins. The... More

Wonderfull trip. Seen loads of sperm whales and dolphins. Was able to make some cracking tail shots of diving whales. A big thank you to Marina and Verissimo for the effort they took to putting us in the right spot. People don't seem to realise how difficult that is. The ocean is a big place. Nice to know there are... More

We did a Whale Watching tour, but could only see dolphins that day. Weather was nice, but sea was tough...: we ended up exhausted but happy with the tour. The people from Futurismo were good professionals, good care for safety and people's comfort.

We did a whale & dolphin watching and it was great, we managed to see both. Well, don´t imagine whales jumping around, we were lucky to see at least their puffs from right below the water surface. Be prepared for some possible seasickness. I liked also the theoretical part where Futurizmo explains the techniques to watch animals. Thanks to Marina... More

We spent an afternoon whale and dolphin watching with Futurismo, followed by 3 days snorkelling with dolphins. We had an amazing time. Mariana and Juan were incredibly professional, making us all (age 11 and up) feel safe and confident in very choppy water, knowing exactly where to place us in the water to stand the best chance of having an... So, swimming with dolphins... did this mean paddling in a shallow seaside pool with semi-tame dolphins programmed with fishy food parcels? Would we get to stroke and cuddle them? Would we get to do selfies with a cooperative dolphin grinning in the background? Nope, none of the above. Futurismo's very well-organised 'swimming with dolphins' package (3 half days) involves large... More

After reading all reviews about number of whales and dolphins species moving around Azores and all the enthusiastic reviews in Tripadvisor we were very excited to take the whales watching cruise. The organization and the crew were very professional, the boat was in very good shape but.. there were no whales. The cruise took 3 hours, we have seen two... More

We did both the whale watching and swimming with dolphins tours and really enjoyed them both. Unfortunately, we didn't see any whales on the watching tour but they were spotted on other days - it is just pot luck. We did see three types of dolphins which sometimes came really close to the boat - was fantastic to see. The... More

We did the swimming with the dolphins and did not appreciate the experience. We had done a similar type experience in Mauritius the year before which was amazing! On this trip, the first time we went out the tour ended up cancelled due to bad weather and choppy seas. The second time they took us out (due to the cancellation)... More
