Futurismo is now the largest active tourism company that offers a variety of packages of sea and land activities throughout the Azores archipelago year-round whale and dolphin watching tours, swimming with dolphins, hiking tours, bicycle tours (MTB and road bike) and jeep and van tours.

We run tours for people who like to experience the islands while aiming to immerse themselves in our culture and heritage, tasting traditional food and drink, learning about the wildlife of the islands and appreciating the authentic landscapes away from the crowds. We aim to be a responsible tour company and encourage sustainable work practices in all aspects of our work.

Our company operates tours daily, as well as standard packages or tailor made packages for single travelers, groups or families. We also organize all land arrangements needed during your stay.

Our professional and friendly team includes multilingual guides and staff eager to share their passion for these beautiful islands. Our aim is to utilize our expert knowledge of the nature and landscapes of the Azores to create unforgettable experiences for our clients, often tempting them back to discover more!

Very nice boat ride.

We took our children 6 and 4. They really enjoyed the ride. We did see dolphins and whales. The view of the island from the sea is spectacular.

We did the swimming with the dolphins and did not appreciate the experience. We had done a similar type experience in Mauritius the year before which was amazing! On this trip, the first time we went out the tour ended up cancelled due to bad weather and choppy seas. The second time they took us out (due to the cancellation)... More

Very nice and helpful staff, with biologist on the boat, who shares a lot of information about species of the animals you can see on their tour. They provide equipments (rain coats, life vests, and snorkel masks for island snorkelling at Ilheu da Vila) too. We saw lot of dolphins, and even a fin whale.

We did a morning tour whale-watching tour on one of the zodiacs. Each passenger has to wear a life vest which makes it hard to move probably. We saw Common Dolphins as well as a group of sperm whales and a Loggerhead turtle. There is a short but informative briefing before leaving and after the trip there is a free... More

This guys will make all their efforts to make sure you have a great experience in whale and dolphin watching! They are very professional, and respectful of the environment and wildlife. If you don't suffer from any physical problems, chose the small boats for a more intense experience!

Nothing negative to say about this company and the experience. We went out one day on the zodiac boat which was great fun for a half day of Whale watching. We were 'only' able to see a few Sperm Whales on this outing and to our surprise we were allowed another free trip because of the lack of encounters that... More

We went on the catamaran, though we were scheduled to go on a speed boat. I'm very glad we didn't, because they are small and it's 3 hours out at high sea, so if you have to go..... it's a problem! So be sure to take a trip to the loo before hopping on one of those small babies. Other... More

We went on the whale & dolphin watching trip. Saw a sperm whale, bottleneck dolphin & loads of common dolphins. Our guide / marine biologist was absolutely lovely, very passionate and taught us a lot about the whales & dolphins. We were fortunate to see a baby dolphin that had just been born, it was literately the cutest thing ever!... More
