It's a great place to get to know more about pineapple growing and see the different stages of the plant throughout it's lifecycle (they have a tent showing that specifically). The food and drinks at the café/bar are definitely recommended! Staff is super friendly and happy to answer all sorts of questions. Worth a visit!

The visit was very nice, you can walk through the pineapples and see the different growth stages. After that you can have some drinks or pineapple at their bar, the staff is ultra nice (they even gave us some pineapple jam to try), i’d recommend their pineapple caipirinha. overall, it’s just a must to visit it!

I had really looked forward to visiting a pineapple plantation here, and was excited to find that there was one just on the outskirts of town!
The self guided through the greenhouses with QR codes with information (free WiFi offered). The PDL minibus, Linea Azul, stops right near the entrance.
The free samples were appreciated and the menu begged to be explored. I had a sliced pineapple and a delicious Caipirinha.

...genuinely very impressed! This place is awesome.

It was very interesting to learn about the magical journey of the pineapple, but the fact that the whole thing is free, including free pineapple liqueur and jam is amazing! Friendliest staff in the world, and the lunch toasties were brilliant. The QR code tour was actually really interesting too -- I had no idea how long it took to grow them! We spent about an hour here.

"The Best Pineapple in the World" grows inside special greenhouses scattered around this Paradise called São Miguel.
On the outskirts of its capital you can see many of them, but this is the place where you must stop. You'll have a view over some greenhouses built in the 30's and a very well made tour that sticks to the essentials on growing this gift of nature called "ananas" in every language in Earth. Except, eah... in English.
This was a fruit that conquered the world in just a few decades during the age of European explorations (this much I know), and seeing it here in full blossom and getting to taste it was nothing short of amazing.
The best part: the great staff that helps you. Get to know them a bit and ask around, they'll tell you even more 'juicy' stuff.

The ambiance is very welcoming and the service is amazing. You can tell making the customers happy ia their main priority. The typical azorean food-snack and drinks are absolutely delicious and with care prepared. I highly recommend this pinapple plantation!

Azores Pineapples Taste Amazing!

The amount of work that goes into growing pineapples in the Azores is a labor of love. The farm shows the history of developing the planting and maintaining its crop. There is a café on site to enjoy drinks and treats made from the pineapples. Come to enjoy the pineapples and support this island agriculture.

Surprisingly interesting!
Free walk-in visit to see pineapples growing under glass - much more interesting than you would think - plus free liquor and pineapple jam. Small shop. Well worth a visit for 30-45 mins.

Ananas plantacion, interesting and fun place to visit
a don't miss while in Sao Miguel, we had a great time at Plantacao de Ananas, interesting information on the fruit and fun + the opportunity to taste ananas in all shape and style like in a sandwich, as liqueur, beer, plain, icecream and many more, all staff very friendly and nice

pineappleeees !
amazing spot after you arrive to Azores, very interesting to see how pineapples grow. You will get a free sample to try. The staff are very nice, don't be shy to ask them about best spots in Azores :-) We were given tips for nice restaurants on island.
