Little Azorean gem
Nov 2020
Wonderful area with waterfalls, river and a lovely landscape with old beautiful houses with amazing flowers. Even though the area is not too big, everything looks perfect and it is truly a little paradise. I went during low season (November) and there were not many people, which made the visit even more enjoyable. To me it is a must-see in Sao Miguel.

Nice place to take a break!
Aug 2020
It is a good place for you to take a break and relax with your family. It is good for all ages, kids, and elderly. They have waterfalls, watermills, flowers, plants, little trails, ponds, picnic areas and coffee shops. It is beautiful in the middle of a valley surrounded by gorgeous hills.

Astonishing
Jul 2020
A practically perfect balance among nature and man made lava stone infrastructures. Water springs and creeks, waterfalls, old rebuilt watermills and so much more inside one of the deepest valleys of Nordeste.

Refreshing
Nov 2019
This is a wonderful park with waterfalls and pretty plants. Take your time and admire the beautiful surroundings. Easy access down to the water falls in natural settings. Just a refreshing place to have a break from the busy day trip.

A perfect park!!
Feb 2020
An exceptionally well maintained and loved natural park with waterfalls and mills. Although inundated with tourists and less than adequate parking the bonus is, it is still free......for now. Enjoy the parks large trail system on both sides of the road, you wont be disappointed. Go early and on an overcast day and you are sure to be there with a lot less people mulling around taking millions of ridiculous selfies......

Very nice

This park is very nice and quiet, flowers everywhere, some waterfalls and if you go to Trilho Rail (which is pretty hidden), you will discover "jungle" as well, not only waterfalls. :) Absolutely worth to see.

Beautiful landscapes

Nice waterfalls and Cafe, no fee to walk through the area. It has several old mills that were water powered, it is steep but take your time and the stairs are fine.

Lovely walk
Dec 2019 • Couples
A must stop if you like gardens, waterfalls and glimpses of an old mill operation. We were there on an overcast day and we took a beautiful walk.

Lovely Landscape!
Nov 2019
If your visiting Sao Miguel Island in the Azores please take the time to visit this beautiful park. There are well maintained trails that will take you to multiple waterfall located in green jungle like foliage. There are bathrooms located near a small visitor center and snack bar. If it's a nice day the parking area is small so getting a spot may be an issue. Great area for photographers!

Beautiful area, nice place to take a hike or take in the scenery.
May 2019
We did "Canyoning" while we were there, but that was booked in advance and I dont know if you could just "show up" and do it. Take a hike, take pictures, enjoy a picnic.
