returned after 6 yrs to find a new road, the whole area is now fenced and protected against the plague of 4WD, and much more pleasant with a walking footpath to the Barreiro

You need to reall keep an eye open for the signs to this area it's down a few local small rough roads. I think you need to watch the translation of the word desert, it's a clay pan of maybe 50 hectares where the vegetation...More

It is an interesting site but rather hard to find and not well signed.Park before you get to it unless you have 4 wheel drive or you could get stuck when it is wet.
