Whalewatching with Pico Sport

I'd read that the Azores are the best area for whalewatching in the world, so I had been mulling going on a whalewatching safari as one of the things to do during my visit. It... read more

We booked the Shark Tour with Pico Sports on 09.08.2016 and it was a great experience: a Blue Shark came by and we enjoyed him for an hour - wonderful! Moreover, the dive guide was very knowledgable: as a biologist he studied shark behaviour and reported a lot of interesting stuff. Not so nice - in fact extremely disappointing -... More

I visited Açores with a group of friends and one of the activities we were looking forward was the whale watching. He booked a tour at Pico Sport and the experience was very poor, they need to improve a lot the customer orientation and their equipment. They were short of enough waterproof equipment (only a few of us were properly... More

I'd read that the Azores are the best area for whalewatching in the world, so I had been mulling going on a whalewatching safari as one of the things to do during my visit. It turned out that the owners of my accommodation (Golphino Rooms) also run Pico Sport, so I booked a tour with them. On the day, I... More

The people from Pico Sports are really nice and know exactly how to spot the whales and dolphins of the Azores. The Skippers Eduardo, Marco and Marc have years of experience and know how to provide exciting whale/dolphin watching without disturbing the animals in their natural habitat. :) Thank you for the great experience!!

The first impression was very good: After we asked when it is possible to swim with dolphins they said they make it dependant on the weather. That is why we've chosen this company. On the first try the captain was quite unlikeable, he seemed bored. We found some dolphins but there were 3 other boats and we had to wait... More

Just back from visiting Pico, the diving being the reason for the visit, particularly Mobula Rays and Blue Sharks. We did two warm up shore dives, my son 13 and partner haven't dived for over 6 months. One warm is required for the Princess Alice Banks for the Rays or the Shark dive. I think this is perfectly reasonable, especially... More

I have been out for this kind of activity (and other outdoor) on almost all the azores islands. .. even in corvo and Flores island. More then... More

Dear Mr. Nuno Its a very interesting comment and we wonder why you did not take the chance to contact the staff, the supervisor, the skipper or anybody of Pico Sport to express your complaint. Furtheron i answer that we have 99% happy clients and maybe you are one of the 1% that we can not satisfy. As you do... More

I went to book a fishing trip which they said they could do no problem. I said specifically what type of fishing I wanted to do and what type of fish I was hoping to catch. I stated that I was looking for deep water fishing for small tuna and barracuda and equipment for 5 people. They quoted me a... More

Thank you for your comment. But maybe it was not clear that we do not operate fishing in our company. We operate whale watching and scuba diving. We asked another company to take you for fishing and thats what you did. The captain of the boat reported after your trip that you were happy and you had all the time... More
